What exactly is live painting and how does it work?

Live painting is a dynamic performance where our artist creates a large-scale piece of graffiti or street art in real-time during your event. It serves as both entertainment and decor. Unlike a finished mural, the process itself is the main attraction, allowing guests to witness the creative journey from a blank canvas to a finished masterpiece. It’s perfect for Arequipa's stylish corporate events and private celebrations.

What surfaces can the artists paint on?

We can paint on almost any surface! Most clients in Arequipa prefer large wooden panels, stretched canvases, or temporary walls built specifically for the event. If you have a permanent wall you’d like transformed into a mural, we can do that too. We’ll discuss the best options during the planning phase to ensure the surface fits your venue’s aesthetic and spatial requirements.

Is the paint smell too strong for indoor events?

Safety and comfort are our priorities. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and water-based markers whenever possible. If your event is indoors in Arequipa, we ensure proper ventilation and can use specialized low-fume materials to keep the environment pleasant for your guests. We also provide floor protection to keep the venue pristine while the art comes to life.

Can we request a specific theme or logo to be painted?

Absolutely! Before the event, we’ll collaborate with you to define the style, colour palette, and any specific themes or logos you want included. While the artist brings their unique creative flair, the final piece will perfectly align with your brand identity or event theme. It’s a bespoke piece of art created specifically for your Arequipa gathering.

How long does the performance usually take?

A typical live painting performance lasts between 2 and 4 hours, which usually aligns with the main portion of an event. However, we are flexible! If you have a multi-day festival in Arequipa or a shorter brand activation, we can tailor the pace of the painting to suit your schedule. We’ll work with you to find the perfect timing.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

The best part is that the artwork is yours to keep! After the event, you can display the canvas or panels in your office, home, or even auction them off for charity. It serves as a lasting memento of a fantastic night in Arequipa. If you’re not sure what to do with it, we can even help arrange transport to its new home.

How far in advance should I book an artist in Arequipa?

Booking is easy! We recommend reaching out at least 3-4 weeks in advance, especially for weekend events in Arequipa. However, thanks to our network of backup artists, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. Just fill out our contact form or use the cost calculator to get a quote, and we’ll handle the rest of the logistics for you.

Local culture

Arequipa is a city of incredible contrasts, where the gleaming white sillar stone of the colonial centre meets a burgeoning modern arts scene. While the city is famous for its history and the Misti volcano, the local urban culture is quietly exploding in neighbourhoods like Yanahuara and Selva Alegre. Our live painting performances pay homage to this unique spirit, blending the elegance of Arequipa with the bold, rebellious nature of global street art. ✨

Fun fact: Did you know that Arequipa’s historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site? Bringing a contemporary live painting performance to such a historic location creates a stunning visual dialogue that guests absolutely love to capture on social media! 📸
