Can you perform live painting on smaller surfaces or objects?

Absolutely! While we love creating large-scale murals, our Semarang live painting sets are fully customisable. We can work on smaller canvases that you can keep or auction off, or even live-paint objects like sneakers, skateboards, or furniture. Just let us know your vision, and we’ll bring the right tools to make it happen in a way that fits your venue perfectly.

Is the paint smell going to be too strong for an indoor event?

Not at all! We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and water-based acrylic markers whenever possible to ensure the comfort of your guests. If your event is indoors in a Semarang ballroom or gallery, we can also use specialised 'sugar' paints or airbrushing techniques that produce zero fumes. We always prioritise a safe, pleasant environment while still delivering that high-impact street art aesthetic.

How far in advance should I book a live painting performance?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend events or festival seasons in Central Java. Ideally, aim for 4-8 weeks in advance to ensure our top artists are available. However, we have a fantastic team and backup artists ready to go, so if you have a last-minute request in Semarang, give us a shout—we’ll always do our best to make it work!

What kind of space or setup do you need at the venue?

Usually, we require a flat area of at least 3x3 metres to work safely, but we are very flexible. If you're hosting a smaller brand activation or a boutique event, we can adjust our setup. The most important thing is having a bit of 'splash zone' space and good lighting so your guests can actually see the masterpiece coming to life!

How do you handle safety and cleanliness during the show?

Safety is our top priority. We provide floor coverings, protective screens if necessary, and ensure all equipment is stowed neatly. Our artists are professionals who have worked in high-end hotels and corporate spaces across Indonesia. We leave the space exactly as we found it—except for the beautiful new piece of art we’ve created for you!

How much does a live painting session cost?

The cost depends on several factors: the duration of the performance, the size of the mural, the materials required, and the location within Semarang. Because every event is unique, we don't have a one-size-fits-all price list. Instead, we provide custom quotes within 24 hours. The best part? There is no upfront payment required—you pay after the workshop or performance is complete!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Semarang is a city where history meets the future, from the Dutch colonial charm of Kota Lama to the bustling modern energy of the city centre. The street art scene here is growing fast, with local creatives using the city's unique architecture as a canvas for storytelling. Our live painting sessions tap into this local "Semarangan" spirit, blending traditional Indonesian motifs with cutting-edge urban techniques.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the iconic 'Lawang Sewu' in Semarang literally translates to 'Thousand Doors'? While we haven't painted all of them yet, we definitely bring that same sense of scale and wonder to every mural we create! 🏛️
