Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Our Semarang university workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists start with a safety briefing and basic 'can control' techniques. You'll learn how to move your arm, adjust pressure, and create clean lines before we move onto the big mural. Most students are shocked at how quickly they pick it up and create something they're actually proud of!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need for a killer session in Semarang! This includes high-quality spray cans in a huge range of colours, protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks. If we are working on canvases, we provide those too. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on.

Is the workshop safe for students and staff?

Safety is our number one priority. All students are issued with high-quality respiratory masks and protective gear. We typically host sessions outdoors or in well-ventilated semi-outdoor spaces on campus to ensure proper airflow. Our instructors are experienced pros who supervise every spray, ensuring everyone stays safe while having a blast with the paint.

How long does a typical workshop last?

We're super flexible! A standard university session usually runs for about 2 to 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for the intro, practice sketches, and the final group masterpiece. However, if you're running a shorter 'taster' session for a campus festival or a longer intensive for a design society, we can easily tailor the timing to fit your schedule.

Can you host the workshop directly on our campus?

We sure do. If you have a specific wall on campus that the university has cleared for street art, we can work there. If not, don't worry! We bring large plastic-wrapped walls or individual canvases that we set up anywhere in Semarang. We make sure the "leave no trace" policy applies to everywhere except the designated art surface!

What kind of art will we actually create?

The sky is the limit! Many Semarang student groups love creating a mural that reflects their faculty's identity or a specific social cause. Others prefer a 'freestyle' session where everyone creates their own tags. Our artists can help you design a theme beforehand that aligns with your student union goals or current campus events. It’s all about your vision.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next Semarang university event? Because sitting in a hall is boring, but picking up a spray can is unforgettable! Here is why students and staff love what we do:

Total stress relief: There is nothing more therapeutic than venting some exam stress through a burst of neon spray paint! 🔥
Ultimate icebreaker: Perfect for new students to bond. Nothing says "friendship" like collaborating on a massive 5-meter mural.
Professional vibes: You aren't just messing about; you're learning genuine techniques from active street artists in the Indonesia scene.
Zero pressure: You don't need to be 'good at art.' We show you how to make something professional-looking even if you can't draw a stick figure! ✍️
No-risk booking: With no upfront payment and backup artists ready to go, your Semarang event is in safe hands.
Instagram gold: The final result is the perfect backdrop for campus photos and showing off your university's creative side. 📸

Step by step

Pick your vibe: Contact our team to discuss your Semarang campus event. Whether it's an orientation week icebreaker or a stress-relief session, we’ll help you choose the right format.
Design the concept: Work with our artists to decide on a theme. We can incorporate your university mascot, faculty colours, or a specific message you want to promote.
Setup and prep: On the day, our crew arrives early to set up the 'spray zone' with protective flooring, canvases, or mobile walls across your Semarang location.
Pro artist demo: We start with a high-energy demo! Our artists show you the techniques, from 'fat caps' for filling to 'skinny caps' for those sharp details.
Sketching your ideas: Grab a marker! You'll sketch your ideas on the surface first, getting the proportions right before the paint starts flying.
The first spray: This is the best part. You'll get your hands on the cans and start filling in the colours under the guidance of our pros.
Detailing and outlines: We’ll show you how to add shadows, highlights, and that iconic black outline that makes graffiti pop off the wall.
The big reveal: Step back and admire the work! We’ll take professional photos of your crew with the final mural—perfect for the university Instagram page.
Easy clean-up: We handle all the disposal of cans and gear, leaving your Semarang campus exactly how we found it (plus some awesome new art!).

Local culture

Semarang is a city where history meets high-octane modern energy. From the colonial charm of Kota Lama (Old Town) to the bustling student hubs around Undip and Unnes, the city is a canvas waiting to be painted. The street art scene here is growing fast, with local artists blending traditional Javanese motifs with modern urban styles. When we host a workshop in Semarang, we tap into that local 'Semarangan' spirit—bold, friendly, and incredibly creative. We love seeing students incorporate the city's iconic landmarks or local slang into their tags!

Fun Semarang Fact: Did you know Semarang is famous for its 'Lumpia'? Just like the city's signature snack is a perfect blend of cultures, the street art here fuses global graffiti techniques with deep Indonesian roots! 🥟✨
