Do I need to be an artist to join a pop-up workshop?

Absolutely no experience is required! Our Shenzhen artists specialise in teaching beginners the ropes. We start with simple lines and basic shapes before moving on to more complex techniques like shading and 'highlights'. Most people are shocked by how good their work looks by the end of the session. It’s all about letting loose, having a laugh, and discovering a creative side you might not have known existed.

Is it safe, and will I get paint on my clothes?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paints and conduct our workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially set up indoor spaces. Our instructors will give a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone has a blast while staying completely safe and sound.

What happens if I need to cancel or the weather is bad?

We understand that plans can change in a fast-paced city like Shenzhen. That’s why we don’t require upfront payments at the time of booking—you can pay after the workshop! We also have a dedicated team of backup artists ready to step in if an instructor is unavailable, ensuring your event goes ahead without a hitch. Your satisfaction and piece of mind are our main goals.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

The standard duration for our pop-up graffiti workshops is between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for a deep dive into the culture and technique without feeling rushed. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into a larger event programme, such as a music festival or a corporate brand activation, depending on your specific needs and the number of participants.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything! Your booking includes premium spray cans in a huge variety of vibrant colours, protective clothing (oversalls, gloves, masks), caps for different spray widths, and surfaces to paint on. We can set up large wooden walls, plastic canvases, or even provide individual boards for people to take home. You just need to show up with some creative energy and comfortable shoes.

Where in Shenzhen can these pop-up events take place?

Shenzhen is the perfect place for a pop-up! We can set up at your office car park, a local park (with permits), a hired gallery space, or even at large-scale festivals in Nanshan or Futian. If you don't have a venue in mind, let us know, and we can suggest some of our favourite street-art-friendly spots across the city that offer the right atmosphere for getting creative.

Fill and flare: Add those vibrant colours and 'blasts' that make graffiti pop. This is where the real magic happens.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Shenzhen isn't just about gleaming skyscrapers and high-tech factories; it has a massive heartbeat of urban creativity. From the hidden gems in the Shuiwei "Handshake Buildings" to the world-renowned OCT-LOFT district, the city is a playground for contemporary art. Graffiti culture here is a unique blend of international styles and local "Pengyou" spirit, reflecting the city's rapid transformation. 🏙️

Fun Fact: Did you know Shenzhen was China's first Special Economic Zone? Much like the city itself, the local street art scene is all about breaking boundaries and experimenting with new forms of expression.

Our workshops tap into this local energy. We often reference the city's unique architecture and neon-lit nights in our designs, helping you create art that feels truly "Shenzhen". Whether we are setting up near the bustle of Huaqiangbei or the coastal breeze of Shekou, we bring the authentic street art vibe to every corner of this mega-city. 🔥
