Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students who join our Shenzhen workshops have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics—safety, nozzle control, and simple lines—before moving onto complex fills and fading. We focus on a relaxed, supportive environment where the goal is to experiment and have fun. You’ll be amazed at the professional-looking masterpiece you can create by the end of the session!

What safety measures do you have in place for students?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. We only use professional-grade spray paint in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designated zones. Our instructors are trained to manage groups safely, ensuring that the only thing you take home are great memories and maybe a little paint on your shoes!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our standard university workshops in Shenzhen typically run between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, a demo of various techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window during a university 'societies fair,' we can easily adapt the format to fit your needs.

Can you come to our campus, or do we go to a studio?

Flexibility is key for student groups! We can bring the workshop directly to your campus if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated courtyard. Alternatively, we can host your group at one of Shenzhen's vibrant creative districts like OCT-LOFT to give you that authentic street art atmosphere. Just let us know your preference when booking, and we’ll handle the logistics to make it happen effortlessly.

What equipment do we need to provide?

Everything is included in the package! We provide all the spray cans in a wide variety of colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the surfaces—whether that's a temporary wooden wall, a large plastic foil 'wall', or individual canvases for students to keep. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. We handle the rest!

How does the payment process work for student societies?

We believe in the quality of our experiences, so we don't require upfront payments for university bookings. You can book your date and confirm the details, and payment is only processed after the workshop is complete. This makes it much easier for student unions or society treasurers to manage their budgets without the stress of pre-payment hurdles. Your satisfaction and fun are guaranteed before any money changes hands!

Zero pressure, high vibe: You don't need to be an "artist" to create something incredible with a spray can. 🎉
Stress relief: Nothing beats the satisfying "hiss" of a spray can to forget about upcoming exams!
Perfect for socials: It’s the ultimate icebreaker for new society members or freshers' week. 🤝
Professional guidance: Learn from real street artists who live and breathe this culture.
Social media gold: Your final mural will be the perfect backdrop for the best photos of the semester. 📸
No financial risk: With our "pay later" policy, your student union budget is always safe with us.

Step by step

The Briefing: We kick things off with a quick intro to graffiti history and a vital safety briefing.
Tool Talk: Learn about different spray caps, pressure levels, and how to hold the can like a pro.
First Lines: You'll head to the wall (or canvas) to practice basic strokes, dots, and outlines.
Design Phase: Work with our artists to sketch out a concept that represents your society or university.
Filling & Fading: Master the art of the 'fill-in' and learn how to blend colours for that classic 3D look.
The Outline: This is where the magic happens—sharpening your piece with a clean, bold final outline.
Highlights & Details: Add those final 'flares' and details that make your artwork pop off the surface.
The Reveal: Step back, snap some photos for the 'gram, and admire the massive mural you created together!

Local culture

The Shenzhen street art vibe

Shenzhen isn't just about skyscrapers and hardware; it's a city with a massive creative heart. From the industrial-cool galleries of OCT-LOFT to the hidden alleyways of Dafen Village, the city is a playground for visual thinkers. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging students to think outside the box and embrace the "Shenzhen Speed" of innovation through a different medium—spray paint! 🎨

💡 Fun Fact: Did you know that Shenzhen was China's first Special Economic Zone? That spirit of "trying something new" is exactly what graffiti is all about. We embrace that pioneer spirit in every workshop we host!

We often draw inspiration from the city's neon-lit skyline and its unique mix of nature and urbanity. When you join our workshop, you're not just painting; you're joining a local movement of modern creators who are redefining what Chinese street art looks like in the 21st century. 💪
