Is the paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our absolute priority. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paints specifically chosen for their safety profile. All students are provided with high-grade masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep their uniforms clean. Additionally, our 'Graffitifun' instructors are experts in managing large groups of children, ensuring that everyone follows the safety guidelines while having a total blast. We make sure the environment is well-ventilated and strictly supervised.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard school workshop in Artigas usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic nozzle techniques, and allow every student to contribute to a final masterpiece. We can easily adjust the timing to fit your specific school timetable or break-time requirements. Just let us know your schedule, and we will make it work seamlessly!

What is the maximum number of students per session?

We can accommodate various group sizes! Whether you want a focused session for a single class of 20 or a full-day event for the entire grade, we have the staff and resources to handle it. For larger groups, we often rotate students through different creative stations. We also have backup artists ready to jump in, so your event in Artigas is guaranteed to go ahead without a hitch.

Do we need a permanent wall at the school?

Not at all! You don't need a permanent wall to host a workshop. We often use large cellophane wraps stretched between poles or portable canvases that the school can keep and display later. This 'pop-up' wall method is perfect for Uruguayan primary schools as it allows us to set up in playgrounds or sports halls without making any permanent changes to the school architecture.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Artigas weather can be unpredictable, but we always have a plan B! If it rains, we can move the workshop indoors to a gym or a large hall. Because we use protective floor coverings and low-odour paints, we can safely bring the street art experience inside. We never want a bit of rain to ruin the creative energy of the kids!

Can we choose a specific theme for the mural?

Absolutely! We love it when schools want to integrate the workshop with their current curriculum. Whether you are studying local Artigas history, environmental issues, or specific art movements, our artists can tailor the theme of the graffiti. It’s a fantastic way to make learning visual and interactive. We can even include school values or mottos into the final design!

🔥 Boosts Confidence: Even kids who think they "can't draw" find success with our easy-to-learn graffiti techniques.
🏆 Teamwork in Action: Creating a large-scale mural requires collaboration, helping students learn to work together towards a common goal.
🎉 Pure Engagement: It is hands-on, high-energy, and completely different from a standard classroom lesson.
💪 Professional Mentors: Our artists are role models who show kids that art can be a real-world career and passion.
✨ Memorable Results: The final artwork serves as a lasting reminder of what the students achieved together.
🛡️ Risk-Free Booking: With our 'pay after' policy and backup artist guarantee, your school budget and schedule are in safe hands.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro about the world of street art and a vital safety briefing.
Skill Training: Students learn the 'anatomy' of a spray can and practice different nozzle pressures.
Sketching Ideas: Every child gets to brainstorm their own 'tag' or character on paper first.
Nozzle Control: We head to the 'wall' to practice lines, dots, and filling techniques.
The Masterpiece: Under the guidance of our pros, the kids start building the layers of the main mural.
Adding the Detail: This is where the magic happens—bringing the artwork to life with outlines and highlights.
Photo Session: We celebrate the hard work with group photos and a final 'reveal' of the art.
Cleanup: We ensure the area is left tidy, leaving behind only the incredible new artwork!

Local culture

Artigas is a city known for its incredible semi-precious stones, like agates and amethysts, and we love bringing that same sense of local 'colour' and value into our workshops! When we visit schools in this vibrant corner of Uruguay, we often draw inspiration from the city's unique position on the border and its rich cultural blend. The kids in Artigas have a fantastic, bold sense of creativity that mirrors the bright carnivals the region is famous for. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Artigas is one of the few places in the world where you can find giant amethyst geodes? We often encourage students to think about these natural 'hidden gems' when they are choosing their vibrant graffiti palettes! It’s all about celebrating local pride through modern urban art.
