How long does a typical workshop last for primary students?

Most primary school workshops in Concepción last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This timing is the 'sweet spot' for younger kids—it’s long enough to learn the techniques and finish a masterpiece, but short enough to keep their energy levels high and their focus sharp. We can adjust the duration slightly to fit your specific school timetable or break schedule if needed!

Is it safe for young children to use spray cans?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children, ensuring spray cans are used correctly and responsibly. We also use low-odour, water-based paints where possible for indoor or sensitive environments to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone involved.

Do we need to travel to a specific studio in Concepción?

No way! We are 100% mobile. While we love the creative vibe of Concepción's streets, we usually bring the workshop directly to your school grounds. We can set up on playgrounds, car parks, or even indoors using large protective plastic sheeting and canvases. This makes it super easy for teachers to manage logistics without worrying about transport.

What is the ideal group size for a school session?

We recommend a minimum of 10 students and can cater for groups of up to 60+ at once with multiple instructors. For primary schools, we find that smaller sub-groups work best so every child gets hands-on time with the spray cans. If you have a massive year group, we can rotate sessions throughout the day so nobody misses out on the fun!

Do we need to pay anything upfront to book?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is that we don't require any payment before the workshop! You can book your date with total peace of mind. After the session is finished and the kids are buzzing with excitement, we will send over the invoice. This makes the administrative process much smoother for school finance departments and event organisers.

Do the children need to have prior artistic skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our expert artists start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, how to control pressure, and how to make simple lines. We find that primary school kids are naturally fearless and creative, so they usually pick it up much faster than adults do! Everyone leaves with something they are proud of.

What happens if the artist is unavailable on the day?

We’ve got you covered! In the event an artist falls ill, we have a reliable network of backup professionals ready to step in. We know how much effort goes into planning school events, so we do everything in our power to ensure your workshop goes ahead exactly as scheduled. Reliability is a core part of what we do.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We start with a high-energy kick-off where our artists explain the safety rules and how to use the gear properly. 🛡️
Sketching the vision: Students grab paper and markers to brainstorm their nicknames or "tags", learning about letter structure and flow. ✍️
First lines: Moving to the boards, the kids learn "can control"—how to spray thin lines, thick blocks, and soft dots. 🎨
Fill-in fun: This is where the colour happens! Students fill their designs with vibrant hues, learning how to blend colours smoothly. ✨
The outline: Our artists guide the kids through the tricky part—adding a sharp outline to make their graffiti pop off the background. 🚀
Adding details: We teach them "highlights" and "3D effects" to give their artwork depth and that professional street-art look. 🌟
Group masterpiece: If requested, the whole class works together on a large collaborative mural for the school! 🤝
Final reveal and clean up: We peel back the tape, admire the work, take photos, and ensure the site is left spotless. 📸

Local culture

Concepción isn't just a hub for music and universities; it's a city with a deep, pulsing heart for street art. From the iconic murals celebrating the region's history to the vibrant hidden gems in Barrio Universitario, "Conce" provides the perfect backdrop for young artists to find their voice. We draw inspiration from the city's resilience and its famous "Bío Bío" spirit, encouraging students to express their own local pride through their spray cans.

Fun Fact: Did you know Concepción is often called the "Capital of Rock" in Chile? We love to blend that musical energy into our workshops, often playing some local tunes while the kids get to work! 🎸🎤

Beyond our local workshops, we also bring our street art expertise to other cities across Chile, including Santiago, Valparaiso, La Serena, and Temuco.

Pricing

Our graffiti workshops are surprisingly affordable and offer incredible value for an unforgettable school experience. Prices typically range from:

$20,000 – $45,000 CLP per student

Prices depend on the total number of students, the duration of the workshop, and whether you'd like the kids to keep their individual canvases or create one large mural for the school walls. We believe in transparency and flexibility!

No upfront payment required — you only pay once the workshop is completed and everyone is happy! ✅
