The experience
Why choose a graffiti workshop for your students in Jijiga? It’s more than just spraying paint—it’s a powerful educational tool that resonates with kids in a way traditional art classes sometimes don't. 💪
- Unleash Hidden Talents: Many kids who struggle with pens and paper find they are natural "kings and queens" of the spray can! 👑
- Teamwork in Action: Our collaborative murals teach students how to communicate and work together toward a massive visual goal.
- Safe & Professional: We handle all the "mess" and safety, leaving teachers free to enjoy the creative process with their students.
- Confidence Booster: Seeing a 2-meter tall piece of art they created themselves gives students an incredible sense of achievement. 🏆
- Cultural Connection: We bridge the gap between modern global street art and the local creative spirit of the Somali Region.
- Stress-Free Booking: No upfront payment and a 100% fun guarantee mean there’s zero risk for your school. 🎤

Step by step
- Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro about street art culture followed by a crucial safety briefing on how to use the gear.
- The Tag Creator: Kids get to brainstorm their own 'street name' and sketch a rough draft of their idea on paper first.
- Mastering the Can: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching the students how distance and finger pressure change the lines.
- First Strokes: Students head to the practice wall to get a feel for the spray paint and lose their initial nerves.
- Outline & Fill: This is where the magic happens! The children begin building their main piece, filling in bright colors and bold shapes.
- The 'Pop' Factor: We teach them how to add highlights and 3D shadows to make their graffiti jump off the surface.
- Clean Outlines: Artists help the students add the final dark outlines to make their work look sharp and professional.
- Group Photo & Celebration: Once the paint is dry, we take photos of the kids with their masterpieces to capture the pride on their faces!
Good to know
- Duration: Typically 2 hours, but can be customized from 90 minutes to a full day event.

- Location: We come to you! All we need is an outdoor area or a very well-ventilated space at your school.
- Safety: We use age-appropriate equipment and follow strict safety protocols led by experienced professionals. 🛡️

Local culture
Street art in Jijiga
Jijiga is a city on the move, known for the stunning Karamara Mountains and its unique position as a cultural melting pot in Ethiopia. Just as the city's markets are filled with vibrant patterns and colors, we believe the schools should be too! Street art in the Somali Region is a growing form of expression, and we are thrilled to bring this modern art form to the next generation of creatives in the city. 🏔️
Fun Fact: Did you know that graffiti-style art actually uses many of the same principles as traditional patterns found in local textiles? It’s all about flow, color balance, and bold statements! We love incorporating local Jijiga energy into our designs. ✨
