Is the paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We use low-odor, non-toxic spray paints that are safer for young lungs. Every student gets a high-quality respirator mask, protective gloves, and a full-body poncho to keep their school uniforms clean. Our professional artists are also experts at managing large groups of energetic kids, ensuring everyone follows the safety rules while having the time of their lives. We make sure the environment is controlled and 100% kid-friendly.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

Usually, our primary school workshops in Kaduna last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' for keeping children's attention spans high without them getting tired. We start with a quick, high-energy demo, move into practice sessions, and spend the final hour on their big masterpiece. We can easily adjust the timing to fit into your school's specific lesson blocks or extracurricular schedules.

Does the school need to provide any materials?

Not at all! You don't need to worry about buying a single thing. We bring everything to your Kaduna location: premium spray cans in every color of the rainbow, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the 'canvas' (whether that's large wooden panels, plastic foil, or a school wall). We even bring the cleaning supplies to make sure we leave your school grounds looking better than we found them.

What is the maximum group size for a session?

Our workshops are very flexible! We can work with a single classroom of 20-30 students or organize a full-day rotation for the entire grade level. For larger groups, we bring in extra professional artists to ensure every child gets personal guidance and support. Whether you have a small group or 200 excited kids, we have the staff and equipment to make it a smooth, organized success.

Can the workshop take place indoors or outdoors?

If we are working on temporary surfaces like plastic foil or wooden panels, we can set up in a large school hall or gym, provided there is decent ventilation. However, we always recommend an outdoor session if the Kaduna weather allows! Working outside on the playground or against a school wall adds to the authentic street art vibe and provides the best airflow for the children while they paint.

Do the kids get to choose what they paint?

While we love the raw energy of freestyle art, we find that primary schoolers do best with a bit of a plan. We usually help the group decide on a 'theme'—like the school's values, local Kaduna landmarks, or an environmental message. Our artists then help sketch the basic outlines so the kids can focus on the fun parts: choosing colors, filling in shapes, and learning cool shading techniques.

What is your payment policy for schools?

At Graffitifun, we believe in 'play now, pay later' to keep things stress-free for school administrators. You don't need to make any upfront payments to secure your date. After the workshop is finished and the kids are beaming with pride over their new mural, we will send over the final invoice. It’s all about building trust and making sure you are 100% happy with the experience!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Kaduna primary school? It’s more than just paint on a wall—it’s a massive boost for student development! Check out why schools love working with us:

Total Creative Freedom: There are no 'mistakes' in graffiti, which helps kids who are usually shy about art to truly open up. 🎨
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Creating a giant mural requires students to communicate and collaborate like never before.
Confidence Injection: Watching a blank space turn into a professional-looking artwork gives kids a huge sense of pride and "I can do this" energy! 🔥
Safe & Professional: We use kid-friendly materials and have years of experience managing classrooms with a smile.
Stress-Free for Schools: No upfront payment, we bring all the gear, and we handle the setup and cleanup completely.
Physical & Fun: It’s a great way to get students moving, improves hand-eye coordination, and burns off that extra energy! 🏆

Step by step

The Big Introduction: Our pro artists arrive at your Kaduna school and kick things off with a high-energy demo. We show the kids what’s possible with a spray can!
Gear Up for Action: Safety first! We fit every student with protective suits, gloves, and masks. They’ll look like mini-pros before they even touch a can.
Learning the Lingo: We teach the basics of street art culture, focusing on respect, creativity, and the difference between 'art' and 'vandalism'.
First Lines & Sprays: On practicing boards, kids learn 'can control.' They'll practice making dots, thin lines, and thick flares to get the hang of it.
The Masterpiece Sketch: We move to the main surface. Our artists help the kids sketch out a large-scale design based on your chosen school theme.
Color Explosion: This is the best part! Students work together to fill in the mural, learning how to blend colors and add cool 'fill-in' effects.
Adding the Shadows: To make the art 'pop,' we teach them how to add 3D shadows and bright highlights—the secret to professional-looking graffiti.
The Final Outline: Our artists help with the final dark outlines to sharpen the image, making the kids' work look like an absolute masterpiece.
The Grand Reveal & Cleanup: We take a huge group photo with the art, help the kids get de-suited, and leave the workspace spotless.

Good to know

Local culture

Kaduna is a city with a rich history of craftsmanship and culture, and we love bringing a modern, urban twist to that heritage. Whether your school is located near the bustling Kaduna Museum or in the heart of the GRA, we bring that local energy into every session. We often encourage students to incorporate elements of Kaduna’s identity into their murals—think of the iconic architecture or the vibrant colors of the local markets. Street art in Kaduna is a growing movement, and giving children a chance to participate in it legally and creatively is a gift they'll never forget! 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Kaduna's name comes from the Hausa word for "crocodiles"? While we don't paint real crocodiles, we've helped plenty of students spray-paint some pretty fierce-looking artistic ones! 🐊

Pricing

We believe every child in Kaduna should have access to high-quality arts education. Our pricing is flexible based on how many students are participating and the type of project you want to create (like a permanent wall mural vs. temporary panels). 🎨

Primary School Workshop Pricing: ₦15,000 - ₦35,000 per student.

This includes all materials, safety gear, and the professional artist's time. Since every school has different needs—whether you're in Kano, Lagos, or Abuja—we recommend getting in touch for a bespoke price that fits your budget.
