Is the paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits to keep those school uniforms clean. Our spray paints are water-based or low-solvent where possible, and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Our artists are experienced in managing large groups of children, ensuring a controlled, safe, and super fun environment for everyone involved.

Do the pupils need any previous drawing skills?

Not at all! Our Naples workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to draw simple lines. Our professional artists provide step-by-step guidance, so every child, regardless of their artistic ability, will walk away feeling like a true street art pro. It’s all about the experience and having a go!

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop in Naples usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' for keeping younger children engaged and excited without them getting tired. We can adjust the timing to fit into your school’s specific timetable, ensuring the session flows perfectly between lesson breaks or lunch hours. Most schools find this duration ideal for a complete creative project.

What do we need to provide as a school?

We bring everything! Graffitifun provides all the spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps, protective gear, and the surfaces to paint on (usually large plastic film or boards). We even bring the inspiration! All your school needs to provide is a suitable outdoor space—like a playground or sports field—and a group of enthusiastic students ready to unleash their inner artists.

How does the payment process work?

We understand that school budgets can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront costs or deposits. Once the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the smiles on your students' faces, we’ll handle the invoicing. It’s a transparent, stress-free process designed to make things easy for busy teachers.

What happens if it rains on the day?

While we love the sun, Naples weather can occasionally surprise us. If it rains, we have two main options: we can move the workshop to a covered outdoor area if you have one, or we can reschedule the session to a better day. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are very flexible with rescheduling to ensure your pupils don't miss out on the fun.

Can the children work together on one big mural?

Absolutely! While each child gets to experiment individually, we often conclude with a 'Big Piece' project. This involves the whole class working together on a large mural that can represent a school value or a specific theme you’re studying. It’s a brilliant way to encourage teamwork, communication, and collective pride. The final result is a massive, colourful masterpiece that everyone helped to create!

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro, explaining the history of graffiti and getting everyone suited up in protective gear. 🛡️
The Art of the Can: Our artists demonstrate how to handle a spray can, explaining 'finger control' and distance to create different effects.
Sketching the Concept: Students grab markers and paper to plan their designs, focusing on bold letters and vibrant characters.
First Lines: Under the guidance of our pros, the kids head to the 'wall' (our special foil or boards) to spray their first outlines.
Adding Colour: This is where the magic happens! The pupils learn to fill in their designs, experimenting with different shades and blends. 🌈
The Masterpiece Detail: We teach them how to add 'highlights' and '3D effects' to make their graffiti pop off the surface.
Final Group Mural: All students collaborate on a final, massive piece of art that celebrates their class identity. 🤝
Clean-up & Gallery Walk: We tidy up the site and take a 'gallery walk' where everyone gets to admire and applaud each other's work.
Photo Ops & Farewell: We snap professional-style photos of the kids with their art—memories that will last a lifetime! 📸

Local culture

Naples is a city where every corner tells a story through art. From the historic murals of Maradona in the Quartieri Spagnoli to the modern masterpieces by Jorit and Blu scattered across the city, street art is part of the Neapolitan DNA. Our workshops tap into this local passion, showing pupils that graffiti isn't just paint on a wall—it's a powerful tool for community storytelling and pride. 🍕

Fun Fact: Naples is home to the only official piece by world-famous street artist Banksy in all of Italy! The "Madonna with a Pistol" in Piazza Gerolomini is a local treasure that kids love to learn about.

By bringing a Graffitifun workshop to your primary school, you’re connecting your students with a vibrant cultural movement that defines their home city. We make sure to reference local landmarks and styles, making the experience feel truly authentic to Napoli.
