Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks for every student. Our expert artists choose the safest locations in Bucaramanga and supervise the entire session to ensure everyone follows proper handling techniques for the spray cans. It’s a controlled environment where creativity can flourish without any risks to the participants or the school property.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our standard secondary school workshops in Bucaramanga usually last between 2 and 2.5 hours. This allows plenty of time for an introduction to street art history, practicing basic lines, and finishing a large collaborative masterpiece. If you have a specific school schedule to stick to, we can easily shorten or extend the session to fit your timetable perfectly.

Where in Bucaramanga do the workshops take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop at your school if you have a suitable outdoor wall or open space. Alternatively, we can arrange for the session to take place at a legal graffiti wall in Bucaramanga. If we come to your school, we use large mobile canvases or plastic sheeting to ensure no unwanted paint marks are left behind.

What are the costs for a school group in Bucaramanga?

The cost generally ranges between $100,000 and $250,000 COP per student. This variation depends on the total number of students, the amount of materials required, and the specific location. Because every school group has different needs, we recommend requesting a custom quote so we can provide the best possible value for your specific Bucaramanga school event.

Do students need to bring their own supplies or paint?

You don't need to bring a thing! Graffitifun provides everything: a wide array of colourful spray cans, protective gear, masks, and the surface for painting. We just recommend that students wear old clothes and comfortable shoes, as graffiti can occasionally get a bit messy despite the protective overalls we provide. We handle all the setup and the cleanup afterwards.

Do students need prior artistic experience to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists guide the students through every step, from how to hold the can to creating complex shading effects. It’s amazing to see how quickly students in Bucaramanga gain confidence and produce something they are truly proud of by the end of the day.

What happens if the artist is unavailable or we want to cancel?

We believe in our service so much that we don't require upfront payments. You only pay after the workshop is successfully completed and everyone is happy with the result. Additionally, we have a network of backup artists in the region to ensure that your event never gets cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Your school's schedule is safe with us.

Boosts Confidence: Students who might struggle with traditional art forms often find their voice in the large-scale, bold world of graffiti.
Encourages Teamwork: Creating a massive mural requires communication, compromise, and collective effort.
Professional Guidance: Learn directly from active street artists who bring real-world experience and passion to the session.
Safe & Clean: We use high-quality safety gear and ensure the workspace is protected, leaving only the intended art behind.

Step by step

Introduction and History: We start with a cool overview of street art culture, explaining how it evolved from underground tagging to a respected global art form.
Safety Briefing: Students get kitted out in protective gear and learn the essential rules for using aerosol spray cans safely and responsibly.
Basic Techniques: Our artists demonstrate how to control the nozzle, create thin lines, fill large areas, and manage 'drips' like a pro.
Sketching the Design: Students work together to sketch their ideas on paper, brainstorming themes that represent their school or local Bucaramanga identity.
Can Control Practice: Before hitting the final wall, everyone gets a chance to practice their new skills on a test surface to build confidence.
Outline and Fill: The main event begins! Students start outlining the mural and filling in the vibrant colours they've chosen.
Detailing and Shading: We teach the students how to add highlights, shadows, and 3D effects to make their artwork really pop.
Final Touches: The group adds the finishing outlines and 'tags' their work, completing a professional-looking mural together.
Group Photo and Review: We celebrate the achievement with a group photo in front of the masterpiece, reflecting on the team effort and creativity.
