Is spray painting safe for secondary school students?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality FFP3 masks to filter out fumes, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep school uniforms clean. Our professional artists lead each session with a safety briefing, ensuring students use the spray cans correctly. We also prefer to work in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or under open-sided shelters to ensure plenty of fresh air circulation throughout the creative process.

Do the students need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists start with the basics—how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create clean lines. We find that even students who claim they 'can’t draw' often discover a hidden talent for graffiti. It’s all about expression and having a go. By the end of the session, everyone will have created something they can be proud of!

How much does a secondary school graffiti workshop cost?

Pricing for our secondary school workshops in Ciudad Guayana depends on several factors, including the number of students, the duration of the session, and the amount of materials required. Because every school day is different, we offer bespoke quotes. The best part? There is no upfront payment required—you only pay after the workshop is completed to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the experience.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. For secondary schools, we often recommend a 2-hour session as it provides the perfect balance: enough time to learn the techniques and complete a high-quality piece without losing momentum. However, we are totally flexible! We can adapt the timing to fit into your specific school timetable or double up sessions for larger year groups.

What materials are provided in the workshop?

We bring everything needed for the ultimate street art experience! This includes a wide variety of professional spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the 'canvas'—which can be large wooden panels, plastic film stretched between pillars, or even a permanent wall if the school permits. You just need to provide the space and the enthusiastic students!

What happens if we need to cancel or if the artist is ill?

Absolutely. We understand that school schedules can be tricky. We have a solid team of backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead even if an instructor falls ill. Reliability is key to our reputation across Venezuela. If you need to reschedule due to tropical weather or school calendar changes, just let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your new dates.

Do you offer workshops in other Venezuelan cities?

While we love Ciudad Guayana, Graffitifun is a nationwide provider! We regularly host workshops for schools in Maracaibo, Valencia, Barquisimeto, and Maracay. If your school has multiple campuses or if you are part of a wider educational trust across Venezuela, we can easily coordinate a tour of workshops to ensure every student gets a chance to pick up a spray can.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your secondary school students in Ciudad Guayana? It’s more than just painting on walls—it’s about building confidence and community. Here is why schools love working with us:

Total inclusivity: Street art levels the playing field. You don't need to be a 'fine artist' to create something epic, making it perfect for students of all abilities. 🤝
Boosts mental well-being: The physical act of spray painting is incredibly therapeutic and a great way for teens to vent their creativity. 🧠
Professional mentors: Our artists are real-world professionals who share their journey, showing students that a career in the creative industries is possible. 🎤
Team building: Collaborative murals require communication and planning, helping students work together to achieve a massive goal. 🏆
No-risk booking: With no upfront payment and our 100% satisfaction guarantee, you can book with total peace of mind.
Memorable results: The vibrant canvases or murals created serve as a lasting reminder of the school's creative spirit.

Step by step

Intro and demo: Our pro artist kicks things off with a brief history of street art and a live demo of 'can control' to get everyone hyped! 🔥
Safety first: Every student gets geared up with masks, gloves, and protective suits. We explain the 'golden rules' of using spray paint safely. 🛡️
Sketching the vision: Students grab markers and paper to plan their tags or pieces, learning about layout, shadows, and 'wildstyle' lettering.
First lines: Moving to the 'wall', students learn to make their first marks, getting a feel for the distance and speed needed for a clean stroke.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! Students learn to 'fill' their sketches with vibrant colours and create smooth gradients. 🌈
The outline: We teach the trick to making art pop—the sharp black outline that defines the shape and gives it that professional graffiti look.
Details and highlights: Time to add the 'bling'! White highlights, 'force fields', and bubbles are added to give the artwork depth and character. ✨
Photos and cleanup: We snap photos of the group with their masterpiece before carefully packing away all materials and leaving the site tidy. 📸
Review and feedback: A quick chat about what was learned and a chance for students to share their favourite parts of the day!

Good to know

Our workshops are designed to be hassle-free for teachers and unforgettable for students. Here’s the lowdown on the practical side of things:

What's included: All spray cans, caps, protective gear, insurance, and professional instruction.
Location: We come to you! All we need is an outdoor area or a very well-ventilated space (like a sports court).
Safety: We use high-quality FFP3 respirators and non-toxic paints where possible, led by safety-trained artists. 🛡️

Local culture

Ciudad Guayana is a city defined by power and movement—where the Orinoco and Caroní rivers meet. This energy makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti workshop for secondary schools. We draw inspiration from the city's industrial strength and its lush, tropical surroundings to help students create art that feels truly local. While the city is modern, we love helping the younger generation add their own contemporary 'muralismo' flair to the urban landscape. 🏙️

Fun Fact: Did you know Ciudad Guayana is one of the few planned cities in the world? Its wide avenues and structured layout provide the perfect 'grid' for students to think about how public art can transform organized spaces into something soulful and expressive! ✨

Pricing

We believe every school project is unique, so we don't do 'one-size-fits-all' pricing. Whether you want a one-off taster session or a week-long mural project, we'll design a package that fits your budget. 💰
