Step by step

  1. Intro and 'style' talk: We start with a brief history of graffiti culture and an introduction to the different styles you'll see around Linz.
  2. Design sketching: Students grab pencils and paper to map out their ideas, learning about 'flows' and letter structures.
  3. Introduction to the gear: A quick masterclass on nozzle types (caps), pressure control, and safety equipment.
  4. First lines: Everyone gets a chance to practice basic lines and circles on a practice wall to get a feel for the spray can.
  5. Outlining the masterpiece: We move to the main project, where students scale up their sketches onto the large surface.
  6. Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! We teach techniques for colour gradients, 'fill-ins', and 3D effects.
  7. The 'cut' and highlight: Final touches involve sharpening the edges (cutting) and adding highlights to make the art pop.
  8. Group photo and review: We stand back, admire the work, and take some epic group photos of the finished street art.
  9. Clean up: We pack up all the gear, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the beautiful new art!).

Local culture

Street art in Linz

Linz has evolved from a heavy industrial town into a global "City of Media Arts," and its street art scene is a huge part of that transformation. Walking through the Mural Harbor gallery at the Linz port, you can see how large-scale graffiti has revitalised the urban landscape. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to contribute to the creative legacy of Upper Austria. We love bringing that 'Hafen-Vibe' into the school yard! 🚢 ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Linz is home to one of the largest outdoor graffiti galleries in Europe? The Mural Harbor features over 300 massive artworks on industrial buildings, proving that graffiti is a respected and powerful art form in our city!

Pricing

Our school workshops are competitively priced to ensure as many students as possible can experience the joy of street art. Prices typically range from €30 to €60 per person, depending on the group size, the duration of the session, and the materials used (e.g., individual canvases versus a communal mural).

We offer special rates for educational institutions and larger bookings. Best of all? No upfront payment is required!
