Is the graffiti workshop safe for people with disabilities?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artists are seasoned professionals who specialise in managing groups with various needs, ensuring a controlled, safe, and supportive environment throughout the Djelfa workshop. We only use pro-grade materials that are handled under expert supervision.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Whether you've never held a spray can before or you're a budding Picasso, our friendly instructors guide you through every single step. We focus on the joy of creation and the sensory experience rather than technical perfection, making it accessible for everyone in Djelfa.

Where in Djelfa do the workshops take place?

We are completely mobile! We can host the workshop at your specific facility in Djelfa, a local community centre, or an outdoor space that suits your group's mobility requirements. We bring all the necessary equipment, including mobile graffiti walls, so we can set up wherever is most convenient and comfortable for your participants.

How long does a typical special needs session last?

A standard session usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. However, we understand that every group is unique. We can easily adapt the pace, offering more frequent breaks or shorter focused sessions to ensure everyone remains engaged and comfortable without feeling overwhelmed. Your comfort is our main goal!

What materials are included in the program?

We provide everything: premium spray paint in a rainbow of colours, protective clothing, gloves, masks, and the "canvas" (usually large boards or plastic film). If you have specific sensory requirements or need specialised grips for the cans, just let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate.

Do you offer these workshops in other Algerian cities?

Yes, we do! While we love the vibe of Djelfa, we also offer these inclusive programs in Algiers, Oran, Constantine, and Annaba. Our team is happy to travel across Algeria to bring the magic of street art to your specific community or organisation.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is simple and stress-free. You can request a quote via our website or get in touch for a chat. The best part? There is no upfront payment required. You only pay after the workshop is completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the experience we've provided for your group.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your special needs program in Djelfa? Because street art is the ultimate equaliser! It’s loud, it’s proud, and it’s incredibly rewarding. Here is why our sessions are a hit:

🎨 Sensory engagement: The sound of the rattle, the feel of the spray, and the visual impact provide a multi-sensory experience that is both stimulating and soothing.
💪 Boosting confidence: There’s nothing like seeing a massive, colourful piece of art and saying "I made that!" It’s a huge ego-boost for participants.
🤝 Social connection: Our workshops encourage teamwork and communication in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment.
👩‍🎨 Fully adaptive: We adjust our techniques, from the height of the walls to the pressure of the nozzles, to fit every individual's motor skills.
🏆 Professional care: Our artists aren't just talented painters; they are patient, friendly mentors who love sharing their passion with everyone.
🎉 Guaranteed fun: We strip away the "rules" of traditional art, making it a stress-free zone where the only goal is to have a blast!

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us! We’ll chat about your group's specific needs, mobility requirements, and sensory preferences to tailor the perfect Djelfa experience.
Site selection: We decide on the best location, whether it's your facility or a local spot in Djelfa that is fully accessible for all participants.
Safety briefing: On the day, we start with a gentle introduction to the tools, focusing on safety and how to use the spray cans comfortably.
Design brainstorming: We help participants pick colours and shapes. It’s all about self-expression—there are no wrong answers here!
Practice run: Everyone gets a chance to test the cans on a practice board to get a feel for the pressure and the flow of the paint.
The main creation: Under the guidance of our pro artists, the group starts work on their masterpiece, layering colours and creating bold patterns.
Adding the details: We help refine the artwork, adding outlines or highlights to make the colours really pop.
Photo op & celebration: Once the mural is finished, we take group photos to celebrate the incredible achievement of your budding artists.
Easy cleanup: We handle all the tidying up, leaving the space exactly as we found it (except for the amazing new art!).

Local culture

Djelfa is a city with a deep-rooted history, famous for its incredible rock carvings and its position as a gateway between the north and the south of Algeria. We draw inspiration from this blend of ancient heritage and modern energy. Street art in Djelfa is a growing movement, and our workshops aim to make this contemporary culture accessible to everyone in the local community. We love the high-altitude light of the city, which makes the spray paint colours look even more vivid! 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that the area around Djelfa is famous for the "Stone of Atlas"? We often encourage our workshop participants to look at the shapes in local rock art for inspiration in their graffiti designs!

Whether we are setting up near the bustling city centre or at a quiet community hub, the warmth and hospitality of Djelfa's people always shine through. We aren't just here to paint; we're here to be part of the city's vibrant social fabric, offering inclusive programs that celebrate diversity in the heart of Algeria.
