Is the workshop location in Oran wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely! We select locations in Oran that are fully wheelchair accessible and have flat surfaces for easy movement. Safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we ensure there is plenty of space for everyone to move around freely while they express their creativity with the spray cans. Just let us know your specific requirements when booking.

How do you ensure the safety of participants during the session?

Safety is our number one rule. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups with diverse needs, ensuring that everyone uses the equipment correctly. We also use low-odour professional spray paint to make the environment as comfortable as possible for those with sensory sensitivities.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our Special Needs Program is designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. Our friendly artists provide step-by-step guidance, helping everyone from the first 'cap' press to the final masterpiece. It’s all about the joy of creating and the sensory experience of the paint, rather than technical perfection. Everyone leaves feeling like a pro!

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

We are very flexible with group sizes in Oran. Whether you are a small private group of 5 or a larger community organisation of 30+, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in extra backup artists to ensure everyone gets the individual attention and support they need to have a fantastic time.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy without causing fatigue. However, we can easily adapt the pace of the workshop to suit the concentration levels and physical needs of your specific group. We move at your speed!

Do I need to pay in advance?

No, you don't need to pay anything upfront! At Graffitifun, we believe in building trust with our community in Oran. You can book your workshop and secure your date, and payment is only handled after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% happy with the experience we provided.

What should participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Although we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a messy business! We'll provide everything else—the paint, the boards or walls, the masks, and the inspiration. Just bring your enthusiasm!

The experience

Choosing our Special Needs Program means choosing an experience that prioritises empowerment and joy. Here’s why our Oran workshops are so special:

Sensory-rich experience: The sound of the spray, the vibrant colours, and the physical movement make this a fantastic multi-sensory activity. 🔥
Expert guidance: Our artists are not just talented painters; they are patient, encouraging mentors who know how to adapt to different learning styles.
Complete inclusivity: We use specialised equipment and techniques to ensure everyone, from wheelchair users to those with fine motor challenges, can participate. 💪
Confidence boost: Seeing a giant, colourful mural that you helped create provides an incredible sense of achievement and pride. 🏆
Stress-free booking: No upfront payment and a 100% satisfaction guarantee means you can book with total peace of mind.
Creative freedom: There are no "mistakes" in graffiti—only unique styles and creative choices! 🎨

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us to discuss the specific needs of your group so we can tailor the Oran experience perfectly.
Design brainstorming: We start the session by sketching ideas, allowing everyone to pick their favourite colours and shapes.
Safety briefing: Our artists demonstrate how to use the spray cans safely and help everyone get suited up in protective gear.
The first spray: Participants practice basic lines and dots on a practice wall to get a feel for the pressure and flow.
Colouring in: This is the fun part! Everyone works together to fill in the large areas of the mural with vibrant Oran-inspired hues.
Adding details: Our pros help participants add outlines, shadows, and 'splatter' effects to make the artwork pop.
The big reveal: We take a step back to admire the collective masterpiece and take plenty of group photos.
Cleanup & wrap-up: We handle all the messy bits, leaving you with nothing but great memories and amazing photos!

Our workshops are fully mobile—we can come to your location in Oran or arrange a suitable outdoor spot. Each session includes:

Local culture

Oran, known as La Radieuse, has always been a hub of culture, music, and art. From the historic heights of Santa Cruz to the bustling streets of the city centre, there is a creative spirit here that we love to tap into. The local street art scene in Algeria is growing fast, and we are proud to bring an inclusive version of this contemporary culture to the Oran community.

Fun Fact: Did you know Oran is the birthplace of Raï music? Much like Raï, graffiti is a powerful form of "street" expression that allows people to tell their stories and share their emotions through rhythm and colour. We often see that same musical energy reflected in the vibrant murals created during our Oran workshops! 🎤
