Is the special needs graffiti workshop safe for all participants?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use high-quality, low-odor spray paint in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Every participant is provided with protective gloves, masks, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our professional artists are specially trained to supervise different ability levels, ensuring everyone can express themselves safely while having a blast in the heart of Gondar.

Where do these workshops usually take place in Gondar?

Variety is the spice of life! We can host the workshop at a location of your choice in Gondar, or we can suggest accessible outdoor spots. Whether it is a quiet garden or a community center terrace, we ensure the ground is level and the space is comfortable for all mobility types. We bring all the materials to you, making the setup completely stress-free.

What should participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting a little paint on—just in case! While we provide full protective gear like overalls and gloves, graffiti is an active and splashy art form. Since Gondar can get sunny, a hat and some sunscreen are also great ideas for our outdoor creative sessions.

Do we need any prior art experience to join?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artists guide everyone through the process, from holding the can to creating simple shapes and vibrant splashes of color. The goal isn't to create a 'perfect' masterpiece, but to enjoy the tactile sensation of spray painting and the joy of seeing bright colors come to life on a canvas.

How long does a typical session last and is it flexible?

We are totally flexible! We understand that some groups may need more frequent breaks or a slower pace. A typical session lasts about 2 hours, but we can shorten it to 90 minutes or extend it to 3 hours depending on the energy levels and needs of the participants. We work at your rhythm to ensure everyone stays happy and engaged.

Do we need to pay in advance to book our session?

No pre-payment is needed to secure your date! We believe in building trust with the Gondar community. You can book your workshop, and payment is only handled after the session is complete. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience we provided before any money changes hands. Ready to book? Just reach out!

What is the ideal group size for this program?

We keep our group sizes intimate to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve. For special needs programs, we usually recommend groups of 5 to 15 people so our artists can provide one-on-one support. However, if you have a larger group, we can simply bring along more professional artists to help out. Just let us know your numbers!

Local culture

Gondar, often called the 'Camelot of Africa', is a city steeped in royal history and breathtaking architecture. But beyond the stone walls of the Fasil Ghebbi, there is a modern, pulsing creative energy waiting to be tapped! Our workshops blend this rich heritage with modern urban expression. We love bringing the bright, bold colors of street art to the city of emperors. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Gondar is famous for its intricate ecclesiastical art found in the Debre Berhan Selassie Church? Our graffiti workshops honor that local tradition of storytelling through visuals, just with a modern, spray-painted twist! We bring that same spirit of "Gondarine" creativity to every session we host in this beautiful highland city.
