Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality, low-odour spray paint and full protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our instructors are trained to manage groups with different needs, ensuring every participant is guided through the process in a secure, controlled, and supportive environment. We adapt our techniques to suit the physical and sensory requirements of every individual.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, especially those who have never touched a spray can before. We focus on the process and the joy of creation rather than technical perfection. Our artists use simple techniques and stencils to help everyone achieve a result they can be proud of, regardless of their previous art experience.

Are the workshop locations wheelchair accessible?

We are incredibly flexible. Our Penang sessions can be held at various wheelchair-accessible outdoor locations or even at your own facility if it has a suitable outdoor space or high ceilings with ventilation. We ensure there are no barriers to entry, providing adjustable workspaces so that everyone can reach the canvas comfortably and enjoy the full experience.

How do you handle sensory sensitivities during the workshop?

The sensory experience is one of the best parts! We can adjust the 'sensory load' by choosing quieter locations, using low-pressure cans that make less noise, or providing noise-cancelling headphones. The tactile nature of the spray can and the visual thrill of the paint hitting the wall provide wonderful sensory stimulation that is often very calming and engaging for our participants.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard session usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. However, we know that flexibility is key when working with special needs groups. We can shorten the session or include more frequent breaks to ensure nobody feels overwhelmed or fatigued. Our goal is to maintain a high energy level and keep the atmosphere fun and relaxed throughout the entire booking.

How many instructors will be there to help?

We believe in a hands-on approach! Depending on the group size, we usually have one lead artist and several assistants to ensure a high ratio of staff to participants. This allows for individual attention, helping each person master the 'cap' pressure and movement needed to create their street art masterpiece. You’re never left to figure it out alone!

Local culture

Penang is world-renowned for its street art, with the iconic murals of Georgetown drawing visitors from every corner of the globe. From Ernest Zacharevic’s famous "Little Children on a Bicycle" to the larger-than-life portraits tucked away in Lebuh Armenian, the spirit of creativity is in the city's very DNA. Our special needs graffiti program taps into this local culture, allowing participants to move from being mere observers of Penang's art to being active creators within it. We love bringing the street art vibe to various spots across the island, from the sea breeze of Gurney Drive to the lush greenery of the Botanical Gardens. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that Georgetown is a UNESCO World Heritage site? While many of the famous murals are permanent, the city constantly evolves with new "pop-up" street art, making it the perfect backdrop for our inclusive workshops!

Because every special needs program we run is uniquely tailored to the participants' requirements, we don't have a one-size-fits-all price list. However, we pride ourselves on being transparent and offering great value for a truly unique experience. Best of all? You don't have to pay a penny upfront—you only pay after the workshop is complete! 🏆
