How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Our summer camp workshops in Warri typically run for 2 to 3 hours. This gives the youth enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their can control on our practice walls, and then complete their final masterpiece. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep energy high and creativity flowing without anyone getting tired. Plus, there's always time for a quick break!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and professional-grade masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes. Our expert instructors are also trained to supervise the kids closely, teaching them the correct way to handle spray cans safely. We use low-pressure cans which are much easier and safer for younger hands to control while they create.

Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our summer camp program is designed for everyone, from complete beginners who have never touched a spray can to those who are naturally artistic. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. By the end of the session, even the most hesitant student will be amazed at the vibrant street art they've managed to create.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide everything! Your booking includes all the premium spray paint, protective masks, gloves, and the surfaces we paint on. We even bring the inspiration! The only thing we ask is that the participants wear 'old' clothes and sneakers that they don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. Even with aprons, graffiti is a messy, fun business!

Can you host the summer camp at our own location in Warri?

Absolutely! While we love hosting groups at our designated street art spots, we are fully mobile. If you have a school yard, a community center, or even a large backyard in Warri with enough ventilation, we can bring the entire summer camp experience to you. We use protective floor coverings to ensure the only thing getting painted is the intended canvas or wall.

How does the payment process work?

We are very flexible! We don't require any upfront payment to secure your booking. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods including bank transfers. Our goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible for parents and camp organizers across Delta State.

What is the recommended age for the youth camp?

We recommend a minimum age of 8 years old for our graffiti workshops. This is because using a spray can requires a certain level of finger strength and coordination. For teenagers, we offer more advanced techniques like 3D shading and complex stenciling to keep them challenged and engaged. It’s a fantastic way for Warri youth to express their unique identity through art.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety Brief: We start with a bang! Kids meet our pro artists and learn how to use the gear safely.
The Art of the Tag: Every camper chooses their own 'street name' and learns how to design a unique signature.
Can Control Practice: We head to the practice wall to learn lines, dots, and how to control the spray pressure.
Sketching the Concept: Campers use paper and markers to plan out their big piece for the day.
Filling & Fading: Our artists show the youth how to blend colors like a pro to create awesome gradients.
Outlining & Highlights: The most satisfying part! We add the final 'pop' to the artwork with clean outlines.
Group Mural or Individual Canvas: Depending on the camp setup, we finish a massive group wall or individual masterpieces.
Photoshoot & Gallery Walk: We celebrate the hard work with a photo session of the crew and their new art.

Local culture

Warri is a city that naturally pulses with rhythm and style. From the bustling energy of Effurun to the creative spirits in Enerhen, Waffi people are known for their boldness and unique expression. Our workshop taps into that "Warri No Carry Last" mentality, encouraging youth to be the best and most creative versions of themselves. We take inspiration from the local environment, blending traditional Nigerian vibes with modern urban street art. ✨
