Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely! While some artistic background helps, our Port Harcourt training is designed to take you from a curious beginner to a confident instructor. We focus heavily on the 'how-to-teach' aspect, ensuring you can manage groups and explain the technical side of spray painting effectively. Our professional artists will guide you through every spray stroke until you feel like a street art pro.

Is the spray paint safe to use during the workshop?

Yes, safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respirators, gloves, and protective suits for all participants. During the professional development sessions, we also teach you how to set up safe workstations for your students, ensuring proper ventilation and skin protection are always maintained in any school or workshop environment.

What happens if it rains on the day of my training?

Port Harcourt's weather can be unpredictable, but we've got you covered. We have access to several covered outdoor spots and ventilated indoor spaces. If the rain is too heavy, we shift to these locations so your training continues without a hitch. We also have backup artists available, so your session is never cancelled due to staff illness.

How long does the teacher training session last?

The workshop usually lasts between 2.5 to 4 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, technical skills, and practical teaching methods. For those looking for more intensive professional development, we can arrange multi-day sessions that dive deeper into curriculum building and large-scale mural management.

Are all the materials included in the price?

We provide everything you need! This includes a wide array of premium spray cans, various nozzles (caps), protective gear, and practice surfaces. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on. We even provide digital resources you can take home to help plan your future art lessons.

How does the payment process work?

We are incredibly flexible! Unlike many other providers, we don't require upfront payments to secure your spot. You can pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We believe in the quality of our training and want you to feel completely confident in your investment.

Can I use these skills for community youth projects?

Definitely. Graffiti is a powerful tool for reaching disengaged students or those who struggle with traditional fine arts. We teach you how to use street art to discuss social issues, improve motor skills, and build self-esteem. It's a fantastic way to modernize your school's art curriculum and make it more inclusive and exciting for the youth in Port Harcourt.

Local culture

Port Harcourt has always been a hub of creativity, from the rhythmic beats of highlife to the rising contemporary art scene in areas like GRA and Peter Odili Road. While the city is famous for its oil and gas, its real energy lies in the hustle and artistic spirit of its people. We bring that same "Pitakwa" energy to our workshops!

Fun Fact: Did you know that Port Harcourt was named a UNESCO World Book Capital? This deep appreciation for culture makes it the perfect place to expand the definition of "fine art" to include the vibrant, storytelling power of graffiti!

Our training sessions often draw inspiration from the local environment, blending global street art techniques with the unique colors and vibes of the Niger Delta. We don't just teach you to paint; we teach you to bring the soul of Port Harcourt to the wall. ✨
