Do I need prior experience with spray paint to join?

No prior graffiti experience is needed! Our Benin City training is designed for art teachers of all skill levels. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold a spray can and control pressure—before moving into complex mural techniques. Our professional artists guide you through every step, ensuring you feel confident and capable by the time you head back to your own classroom to teach your students.

Is the spray paint safe to use in a school setting?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks and gloves, and we only use professional-grade spray paint. During the training, we teach you exactly how to set up a safe workspace for your students, including proper ventilation and handling protocols. You’ll leave the session knowing how to manage a graffiti workshop in a school environment without any safety risks.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Standard training sessions in Benin City typically last between 2 and 4 hours, but we can customize the duration based on your school's professional development schedule. We cover everything from history and theory to hands-on practice and lesson planning. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy session that packs a lot of value into a single afternoon, leaving you inspired and ready to create.

Will I receive a curriculum or lesson plan for my classes?

Yes, absolutely! We don't just teach you how to paint; we provide you with a structured framework to bring this into your curriculum. You’ll receive tips on lesson planning, student engagement, and how to source materials locally in Edo State. Our goal is to make sure you have a sustainable plan for continuing street art education long after our workshop ends.

Can the training take place at our own school?

We are very flexible with locations! We can host the training right at your school in Benin City, or we can arrange a session at one of our inspiring local street art spots. Many schools prefer us to come to them so we can assess their specific walls and spaces for future student projects. We bring all the necessary equipment and materials to you.

What are the costs for the professional development workshop?

The cost generally ranges from ₦15,000 to ₦35,000 per person, depending on the number of teachers participating and the specific requirements of your training module. This includes all premium spray paint, protective equipment, canvases, and expert instruction. We offer competitive group rates for entire art departments. Best of all, you don't pay anything upfront—payment is only settled after the successful workshop!
