How long does a typical graffiti workshop for youth last?

For youth projects in Benin City, we recommend a duration of 2 to 3 hours. This gives the participants enough time to learn the basic spray techniques, plan their collective mural, and execute the artwork without feeling rushed. We can adjust the timing to fit into your specific youth program or camp schedule seamlessly.

Is the workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our professional artists supervise every step of the process, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and that the work environment is well-ventilated and secure for everyone involved.

Do the participants need previous art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. We start with the absolute basics, teaching participants how to hold the can and control the pressure. Our goal is to empower the youth and show them that everyone has an inner artist waiting to be discovered.

Do we need to pay before the workshop starts?

The best part about booking with us is that you don't need to pay anything upfront. We value trust and quality, so you only pay after the workshop is successfully completed. This gives you peace of mind and ensures that we are 100% committed to delivering an amazing creative experience.

What materials are included in the youth workshop package?

We provide everything needed for a complete street art experience. This includes a wide variety of spray paint colors, caps, protective gear, and the surfaces for painting (like large boards or canvas). You just need to provide the space and the enthusiastic participants, and we will handle the rest of the logistics.

What happens if it rains on the day of the street art event?

While we strive for perfect weather, we always have a plan B. If the workshop is outdoors and it rains, we can move the session to a covered area or use indoor-safe water-based paints if the venue allows. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event never gets cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Can we choose a specific theme for our youth mural project?

Absolutely! We encourage youth groups to pick a theme that resonates with them, whether it's community pride, local culture, or a specific social message. Our artists will help guide the creative process to make sure the final mural reflects the group's vision while looking professional and vibrant.

Local culture

Benin City is world-famous for its incredible artistic heritage, from the historic bronze casters of Igun Street to the vibrant modern creative scene. Our graffiti workshops bridge the gap between this rich tradition and contemporary urban expression. We love working near the bustle of Ring Road or the creative pockets around the University of Benin, where the energy of the youth is most palpable. The street art culture here is growing fast, and we are proud to give the next generation of creative minds the tools to add their own modern chapter to the city's legendary artistic history. We don't just paint; we connect with the local spirit of 'Heartbeat of the Nation'.
