What is the ideal age range for the youth graffiti workshop?

Our youth projects in Enugu are designed for teenagers and young adults, typically aged 10 to 24. We adapt our teaching style based on the age group to ensure everyone stays engaged. Whether it's a secondary school group or a community youth club, our professional artists know how to connect with the vibe of the participants while keeping the environment safe and productive for everyone involved.

Is it safe for young people to use spray paint?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks and gloves, for every participant. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor or indoor spaces. Additionally, our instructors are experienced professionals who supervise the handling of spray cans at all times to ensure a fun, accident-free creative session for all the youths in Enugu.

Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are built for beginners. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to spray a straight line. By the time the session ends, even those who have never picked up a paintbrush will be amazed at the professional-looking street art they’ve created. It's all about building confidence through creativity.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We've got you covered! Graffitifun provides everything required for a successful youth project. This includes professional-grade spray cans in a vibrant range of colors, protective clothing, masks, gloves, and the surfaces we’ll be painting on (canvases or boards). You just need to bring your energy and wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of 'character' (paint) on!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Standard youth workshops usually last between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. However, we can customize the duration to fit your specific event schedule in Enugu. If you need a full-day intensive program or a shorter 90-minute blast, just let us know and we will make it happen.

Can you host the workshop at our specific location in Enugu?

Absolutely! We can bring the graffiti experience directly to your youth center, school, or community park in Enugu. As long as there is adequate ventilation and space for the group, we are ready to roll. We handle all the setup and the cleanup afterwards, making it a completely stress-free experience for the organizers. We also have partner locations if you prefer to come to us.

How do we handle the booking and payment?

We understand that youth projects often operate on specific budgets. Our pricing is flexible and depends on the number of participants and the duration of the project. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is successfully completed. Reach out to us for a custom quote, and we'll find a solution that fits your budget perfectly.

Zero Risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, you have absolutely nothing to lose. We guarantee a fun time! 🎤
Professional Mentorship: Our artists aren't just experts; they're passionate mentors who love sharing their craft with the younger generation. 🌟
Vibrant Expression: We provide a safe outlet for the natural rebellious energy of youth, turning it into something positive and visual. 🌈

Step by step

The Kickoff: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of graffiti and how it evolved from the streets to global galleries.
Safety First: Every participant gets geared up with masks and gloves. We explain the 'rules of the yard' to keep everyone safe and clean.
First Lines: Under the guidance of our pros, youths learn basic techniques like 'fading', 'outlining', and 'filling' on practice surfaces.
The Concept: We brainstorm together! The group decides on a theme or a 'tag' that represents their collective spirit or the Enugu community.
Sketching the Vision: Participants move from boards to their final canvases, sketching out the large-scale design they want to bring to life.
Color Explosion: This is where the magic happens. Everyone grabs their cans to start layering colors and adding depth to the project.
The Masterpiece Reveal: We add the final highlights and details. The transformation from a blank wall to a piece of art is always a 'wow' moment.
Group Photo & Clean-up: We snap photos of the crew with their work. Then, we handle the cleanup so the venue looks as good as we found it.

Local culture

Enugu, known as the "Coal City," has always been a hub of culture and resilience in Igboland. From the rolling hills of Ngwo to the bustling streets of Independence Layout, the city is breathing with untapped creative potential. While Enugu is famous for its festivals and traditional arts, we are bringing a modern, urban twist to the local scene. Our workshops often incorporate local elements, encouraging participants to blend contemporary graffiti styles with Enugu’s rich cultural heritage. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that the name Enugu is derived from the Igbo words Énú Úgwú, meaning "top of the hill"? Imagine the view of a massive graffiti mural created by local youth overlooking the city skyline! 🏔️
