Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, we prioritize safety above everything else. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional instructors in Ilorin are trained to supervise youth groups, ensuring that the spray cans are used responsibly. We use low-odor paints whenever possible and conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor or large indoor spaces to keep everyone breathing easy while they create their masterpieces.

Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our youth projects are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a straight line to naturally gifted artists. Our expert instructors break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the 'fun' in Graffitifun, teaching basic techniques like 'fats' and 'skinnies' so that every participant leaves with a piece of art they are genuinely proud of. Confidence building is part of the package!

Where in Ilorin do these workshops take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop at your youth center, school playground, or any suitable outdoor space in Ilorin. If you don't have a venue, don't sweat it—we can help find a cool local spot that works for your group size. As long as we have some wall space or areas to set up our mobile canvases, we are good to go.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

A standard youth project workshop usually lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demo, practice sessions, and the final creation of the big mural. If you have a specific schedule or a full-day youth event planned, we can definitely adjust the timing to fit your needs perfectly. Just let us know your vibe!

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything! Your booking includes all the professional spray paint cans in a rainbow of colors, protective equipment (overalls, gloves, masks), and the surfaces to paint on. We also bring caps, markers, and inspiration sketches. You just need to show up in some 'old' clothes (just in case!) and bring your maximum energy. We handle the setup and the cleanup!

Do we have to pay in advance to secure a booking?

We believe in the quality of our experience, so we don't ask for money upfront. You can book your date, and payment is only handled after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy. We accept various payment methods for your convenience. This way, you can book your Ilorin youth project with 100% peace of mind and zero financial stress.

How many people can participate in one workshop?

While we can accommodate very large groups by bringing in extra artists, we find that a ratio of one artist per 15-20 participants works best for engagement. For very small groups, we have a minimum flat rate, but generally, the more the merrier! If you're planning a massive youth festival in Kwara State, we can deploy a full team of artists to handle hundreds of kids.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your youth group? Because we don't just "paint"—we build confidence and community! Here is why we are the top choice in Ilorin:

Zero Boring Theory: We get straight to the spraying! The kids learn by doing, which keeps the energy high from start to finish. 🚀
Teamwork in Action: Nothing brings a group together like collaborating on a massive 5-meter mural.
Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active street performers who live and breathe this art form. 🎤
Confidence Booster: Watching a blank space turn into a work of art gives young people a massive sense of accomplishment.
Safe and Sound: We handle the mess and the risks. You just enjoy the creative vibes. 💪
No Risk Booking: With our "no upfront payment" policy and backup artists always ready, your event is guaranteed to happen!

Looking for a different vibe? We also do kids parties and school programs across Kwara!

Step by step

Intro & Street Art Lore: We start with a bang! Our pros share the cool history of graffiti and how it evolved from the streets to galleries.
Safety First: We suit up! Everyone gets their gloves, masks, and overalls. We explain how to handle the cans properly.
The 'Tag' Practice: We start small. Participants learn how to create their own unique tag and practice basic spray techniques on a test surface.
Sketching the Vision: The group brainstorms a theme. Whether it's 'Unity' or 'Ilorin Excellence,' we sketch the concept together on the wall or canvas.
Filling & Fading: This is where the color happens! We teach the youth how to fill in large areas and create those smooth color transitions (fades).
Outlining & Detail: The pros show how to bring the art to life with sharp outlines, highlights, and '3D' shadows.
The Grand Reveal: We step back and admire the work. This is the perfect time for group photos and celebrating the collective effort!
Clean Up & Wrap: We pack up our gear, ensuring the area is tidy, leaving only the beautiful new artwork behind.

Good to know

Duration: Usually 2 to 3 hours, but we can do full-day "street art intensives" if you're up for the challenge! ⏱️
Group Size: From small groups of 10 to massive youth events with over 100 participants. We bring enough artists to keep it interactive.
What’s Included: Professional spray cans (low-pressure for better control), masks, gloves, overalls, and high-quality spray surfaces. 🎒
Location: We are mobile! We come to your location in Ilorin or suggest a cool local spot.
Safety: Our artists are pros. We use protective gear and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a worry-free experience. 🛡️

Local culture

Ilorin is a city where tradition meets a rising modern pulse. From the busy markets to the serene campus vibes, there is a unique energy here that is just waiting to be captured in spray paint. While Ilorin is known for its incredible weaving and pottery, we are bringing a new medium to the mix—the spray can! Our graffiti youth projects in Ilorin tap into the city's academic spirit and cultural richness, offering a contemporary outlet for the next generation of Kwara creatives.

Fun Fact: Did you know Ilorin is often called the "Gateway City" because it sits right between the North and the South? Our workshops reflect this by blending different artistic styles into one "Ilorin Original" mural! 🌍✨
