Do the students need any previous drawing skills?

Not at all! Our workshops in Santo Domingo are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to those with a creative flair. Our professional artists guide students through every step, starting with basic lines and moving up to complex shading and 'wildstyle' techniques. It’s all about the experience and having a blast while learning something new. Every student will walk away feeling like a pro artist.

Is spray painting safe for school children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks to filter out any fumes. We also use premium spray paint brands that comply with safety standards. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone picks up a can, ensuring a controlled environment where students can focus on being creative without any risks.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard school workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a practice session on our 'try-out' boards, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. We can always adjust the timing to fit your specific school timetable or lesson blocks!

Where in Santo Domingo do the workshops take place?

We are super flexible! Whether you want to hold the workshop on your school playground, a gym, or an indoor hall with good ventilation, we can make it work. We bring protective floor coverings to ensure no paint ends up where it shouldn't. If you don't have a space, just let us know and we can help find a local spot.

How far in advance should we book a school event?

Our school workshops are very popular, so we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance, especially for end-of-term celebrations or culture weeks. However, we have a large team of backup artists, so if you have a last-minute request, give us a shout and we’ll do our absolute best to accommodate your group.

What is the maximum group size for a school workshop?

We can handle groups of almost any size! For larger year groups, we often split the students into smaller teams that rotate between different creative stations. This keeps everyone engaged and ensures each student gets enough hands-on time with the spray cans. Just tell us your student count, and we will build a custom plan for you.

Do we need to pay in advance for the booking?

The best part is that you don't need to pay anything upfront! We believe in the quality of our service and want you to be 100% satisfied. You can pay via invoice after the workshop has been successfully completed. This makes the administrative process much easier for schools and educational institutions.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your school in Santo Domingo? It’s more than just painting walls—it’s about building confidence and learning new ways to communicate! ✨

🔥 Boosts Creativity: Students learn to think outside the box and embrace their own artistic style.
🤝 Teamwork: Collaborative murals require students to communicate and work together towards a huge goal.
🧠 Mental Well-being: Spray painting is a fantastic "flow" activity that reduces stress and encourages mindful focus.
🛡️ Total Safety: We provide all the gear and guidance to ensure a 100% safe environment for all ages.
🏆 Sense of Pride: There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing your artwork on a large scale for the first time!
✅ Zero Risk: No upfront payment required—you only pay after the workshop is finished and you're happy!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro about street art history and how it evolved into a global culture.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out with gloves and masks, followed by a safety demonstration.
The tag creator: Students brainstorm their 'tag' or artist name, sketching out ideas on paper first.
First lines: We head to the wall (or canvases) to learn basic nozzle control and how to draw steady lines.
Colour theory: Our artists teach students how to blend colours and create those iconic graffiti gradients.
The big project: The group works together on a collaborative mural that represents their school values or a specific theme.
Final touches: We add 'shine' lines and shadows to make the artwork pop and look professional.
The big reveal: A group photo with the finished masterpiece! It's a moment of pure pride for the students.
Clean up: We handle all the 'boring' stuff, packing up materials and leaving the site tidy and paint-free.

Local culture

Santo Domingo, known for its lush green surroundings and its role as a vital hub in Ecuador, has a growing appreciation for urban expression. While the city is famous for its "Tsáchila" culture and the iconic "Colorados," street art is becoming a modern way to bridge traditional heritage with contemporary life. Bringing a graffiti workshop here means tapping into that local energy and giving students a voice in the city's evolving visual landscape. 🎨

Fun Fact: Santo Domingo is a melting pot of cultures from all over Ecuador. This diversity makes it the perfect place for collaborative murals where students can blend different cultural symbols into one massive piece of art!

We love working in this city because the students always bring a unique, tropical vibrance to their designs. From the busy streets near the Zaracay Park to the quieter school campuses outskirts, we can set up our mobile street art studio anywhere!
