Is the graffiti workshop safe for school-aged children?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide all students with high-quality FFP2 masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep their clothes clean. Our spray paints are low-odour and compliant with safety standards. Additionally, our instructors are professionals who manage the group closely, ensuring that everyone uses the equipment correctly and stays within the designated creative area. It is a controlled, safe, and super fun environment!

Do the students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from those who have never touched a spray can to budding young artists. We start with a comprehensive introduction to basic techniques, like making dots, lines, and fades. Our artists provide hands-on guidance throughout the session, ensuring every student feels confident and proud of the final masterpiece they help create together.

What should students wear to the workshop?

While we provide protective suits, we always recommend that students wear 'work clothes' or old trainers they don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. Spray paint is permanent, and while the overalls cover most of the body, a stray drip can happen when students are getting really enthusiastic about their art! It's better to be safe and dress for a mess.

How long does a typical school session last?

A standard school workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demo, practice sessions, and the creation of a large-scale mural. We can easily adjust the timing to fit your school's specific timetable or split the day into several shorter sessions for different classes or year groups.

Do we come to you, or do you have a studio?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises—usually against a gymnasium wall, a fence, or even using mobile wooden partitions we bring along. Alternatively, if you'd like to take the kids on a trip, we can arrange a session at a legal street art spot in Portoviejo. We handle the setup and the cleanup, so you don't have to worry.

What are the educational benefits of this workshop?

The workshops aren't just about painting; they are highly educational. They encourage teamwork, boost self-esteem, and teach students about the difference between vandalism and street art as a professional career path. It’s also a fantastic way to engage students who might struggle with traditional academic subjects, giving them a physical and visual outlet for their energy and ideas. Every student leaves feeling like an achiever.

How much does it cost for a whole year group?

Our pricing is flexible and based on the number of students and the duration of the event. Because we want to make art accessible to as many schools as possible in Portoviejo, we offer bespoke quotes for large groups. Just let us know how many classes are participating and your preferred dates, and we’ll send you a detailed cost breakdown with no hidden fees!

Local culture

Portoviejo is a city that lives and breathes culture, often referred to as the "City of the Royal Tamarinds" for its lush greenery and historical roots. Our workshops tap into this local pride, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the city's unique mix of modern Manabí energy and traditional heritage. Whether we're setting up near the beautiful Parque La Rotonda or bringing the art directly to your school gates, we make sure the spirit of Portoviejo shines through in every spray. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Portoviejo is one of the oldest cities in Ecuador, founded way back in 1535? We love mixing that rich history with modern street art to create something truly "Portovejense"!
