Do I need to have any artistic experience for a VIP workshop?

Absolutely! Our VIP experience in Santo Domingo is designed specifically for beginners. Your personal artist guide will walk you through everything from how to hold the can and control the pressure to advanced layering techniques. You don't need any prior painting skills—just an open mind and a bit of energy. We’ll have you spraying like a pro in no time, and you'll be amazed at the high-quality piece you can produce by the end of the session.

What materials are included in the VIP package?

We provide everything you need for the ultimate street art session! This includes premium low-pressure spray paint cans in a huge variety of colours, high-quality caps for different line widths, protective jumpsuits, gloves, and professional-grade masks. Since this is a VIP experience, we also provide a large canvas or a dedicated wall space, plus refreshments to keep the creative juices flowing. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on.

How long does the VIP graffiti experience last?

The VIP workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a deep dive into graffiti history, a comprehensive technique masterclass, and plenty of hands-on painting time to perfect your masterpiece. We don't like to rush perfection, especially for our VIP guests, so we ensure the pace is relaxed and enjoyable. If you have specific time constraints, just let us know and we can tailor the schedule to fit your day perfectly.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We provide high-quality FFP3 or equivalent masks to ensure you aren't breathing in fumes, along with gloves and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoor spaces. Our professional artists are also trained in safety protocols to ensure everyone handles the equipment correctly. You're in safe hands, so you can focus entirely on the fun and the art!

Can I take my artwork home after the session?

Yes, you do! For our VIP sessions in Santo Domingo, you’ll usually paint on a large, high-quality canvas or a specialized board that you can take home with you. It’s a fantastic souvenir of your creative journey in Ecuador. If we are working on a larger communal wall for a special project, we can provide smaller individual canvases so you still have a piece of original art to hang in your home or office.

How far in advance should I book my VIP workshop?

We recommend booking your VIP experience at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date in mind or a larger group. However, we have a large team of backup artists in Ecuador, so we can often accommodate last-minute bookings. If you've got a sudden urge to get creative, give us a shout and we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen! Remember, no payment is required upfront, so booking is stress-free.

Step by step

The royal welcome: Meet your personal graffiti master at our dedicated creative space in Santo Domingo. We’ll start with a refreshing drink and a chat about your artistic vision.
Street art secrets: Dive into a private briefing on the history of global and local graffiti culture. It’s not just painting; it’s about the story behind the spray.
Master the tools: Learn the 'can-control' basics. Your mentor will show you how to swap nozzles (caps) to achieve different effects, from fat flares to razor-sharp outlines.
Sketching your soul: Work one-on-one with the artist to sketch your design. Whether it’s a bold tag, a character, or an abstract piece, we’ll help you refine the concept.
The first layer: Time to shake the cans! You’ll start by filling in the large areas of your piece, learning how to blend colours smoothly like a seasoned pro.
Adding the edge: Your artist will guide you through 'cutting in' and adding sharp outlines to make your artwork pop off the canvas.
VIP flourishes: Learn advanced tricks like drips, highlights, and 3D shadows. This is where your piece transforms from a sketch into a professional-grade masterpiece.
The big reveal: Step back and admire your work. We’ll take professional photos of you and your art so you can show it off to the world.
Take it home: Once the paint is dry, your unique canvas is ready to go. You leave with new skills, great memories, and original art!

Local culture

Santo Domingo, often called the gateway between the Andes and the coast, is a city bursting with raw energy and natural beauty. This vibrant spirit is reflected in its growing urban art scene. While famous for its lush tropical surroundings and the indigenous Tsáchila heritage, the city’s walls are increasingly becoming a canvas for modern expression. Our VIP workshop taps into this unique blend of traditional culture and contemporary street style. 🌿

Fun Fact: Did you know that Santo Domingo is one of the fastest-growing cities in Ecuador? This rapid growth has fueled a modern "urban jungle" vibe where street art serves as the voice of the youth, blending tropical motifs with classic graffiti lettering. When you paint here, you aren't just spraying paint; you're joining a local movement of creative transformation! 🔥
