Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Most university students in Poprad have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the can to mastering pressure control. We provide a safe, supportive environment where the goal is creative expression and having a blast, not technical perfection. You will be amazed at what you can create by the end of the session.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

We prioritise your health and the environment. We use high-quality, low-odour spray paint that is safer than standard industrial paints. Additionally, we provide all necessary protective gear, including gloves and masks. Our instructors also give a comprehensive safety briefing at the start of every workshop to ensure everyone handles the equipment correctly and stays safe throughout the creative process in Poprad.

What kind of designs can we create during the workshop?

Whatever you like! While we can suggest themes—perhaps something related to your faculty, university mascot, or Poprad's local Tatra scenery—the final design is up to your group. We can help you brainstorm 'tags' or larger 'pieces'. It is all about collaboration and bringing your collective vision to life on the canvas or wall provided for the workshop.

How long does a typical university workshop last?

Standard university workshops usually run between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the completion of a final group project. If you have a specific schedule constraints at your campus in Slovakia, we can definitely tailor the timing to fit your event perfectly. Just let us know your requirements during the booking process.

Can you accommodate large groups of students?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you have a small society of 10 people or a massive freshers' event for over 100 students, we have the team and equipment to handle it. We have backup artists available to ensure that even large groups get plenty of individual attention and that the event runs smoothly without any hiccups. There is no group too big for us!

What should we wear and what do we need to bring?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you do not mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective gear, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes if you get really into the zone! Other than that, just bring your energy and enthusiasm. We provide all the cans, caps, boards, and safety equipment you need.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your university event? It is more than just paint on a wall; it is a high-energy experience that builds community and breaks down social barriers. Here is why it works:

Total stress relief: There is nothing like the satisfying 'hiss' of a spray can to help students decompress after a week of intense studying. 💨
Instant collaboration: Designing a mural requires teamwork, communication, and shared vision—skills that are vital for any degree. 🤝
Zero talent required: You don't need to be an art major! Our pros make sure everyone leaves with a piece they are proud of. 🏆
Perfect for social media: The vibrant colours and 'rough' urban aesthetic make for the best Instagram and TikTok content for your university’s pages. 📱
Mobile & flexible: We bring the entire setup to your campus in Poprad, making it a hassle-free addition to your event calendar. 🚚
Unique memories: Long after the paint dries, students will remember the day they turned their campus into a temporary art gallery. 🎉

Step by step

Select your spot: We chat with your university or student union to find the perfect location in Poprad, whether it is a campus courtyard or an indoor hall.
Intro & inspiration: Our pro artists kick things off with a brief history of street art and a look at some local Slovakian styles to get your brain buzzing.
Safety first: We suit everyone up in protective gear and go over the essential 'rules of the road' for using spray cans safely.
Master the nozzle: Students start by practicing basic lines, dots, and fades on practice boards to get a feel for the pressure.
Sketching the vision: Your group brainstorms a concept. Is it a massive logo? A scenic Tatra landscape? Or a freestyle collage?
Layering up: We move to the main event. You will learn how to fill in large areas, create sharp outlines, and add those professional-looking highlights.
Personalised tags: Every student gets the chance to develop their own 'tag' or signature, adding a personal touch to the collective masterpiece.
The big reveal: We step back, admire the work, and take plenty of high-res photos for your university’s social media or student mag.
Tidy up: We handle the cleanup, leaving your Poprad venue exactly as we found it—except for the awesome new art!

Local culture

Poprad is the gateway to the High Tatras, but its urban culture is just as impressive as its mountain peaks. While the city is known for its traditional roots, the younger generation is increasingly embracing street art as a form of modern expression. You can find hints of urban creativity tucked away in the backstreets, contrasting beautifully with the historic architecture of Spišská Sobota. 🏔️

Fun Fact: Poprad is one of the highest cities in Central Europe! Doing a workshop here literally takes your creativity to new heights.

In Slovakia, street art festivals are gaining momentum, and by hosting a workshop at your university, you are connecting your students to a wider national movement seen in cities like Bratislava and Kosice. It is about bringing that urban energy right to the foothills of the Tatras. ✨
