Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Our youth workshops in Iringa are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to those who already have a bit of a creative streak. Our professional artists start with the basics of can control and safety before moving on to more complex techniques. We believe everyone has an artist inside them, and we are here to help your group find theirs in a supportive environment.

How do you handle safety and protective gear?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep everyone clean and safe. Our facilitators are trained professionals who supervise the handling of spray cans at all times. We also ensure we work in well-ventilated outdoor areas, making the experience safe, professional, and worry-free for organisers and parents alike.

How long does a typical workshop last?

The duration is flexible to suit your project's needs. Typically, our Iringa youth sessions last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for a thorough introduction, several practice rounds, and the completion of a final masterpiece. If you are planning a larger community mural or a multi-day youth camp, we can certainly extend the timing to accommodate your goals.

Can you host the workshop at our youth centre?

We are incredibly flexible and can come to a location of your choice in Iringa, provided there is adequate space and ventilation. Whether it’s a school yard, a community centre, or a youth club, we bring the art to you. If you don't have a spot, don't worry—we can help scout a suitable location that meets all safety and legal requirements for graffiti art.

What is included in the workshop package?

We provide everything! Your booking includes all the premium spray paint in a wide array of vibrant colours, caps/nozzles for different effects, protective clothing (suits, masks, gloves), and the surfaces to paint on. We can use large canvases, wooden panels, or even designated wall spaces. You just need to bring your energy and some old clothes you don't mind getting a bit dusty!

How does the pricing and payment work?

We don't believe in 'one size fits all' pricing. Instead, we offer a transparent 'pay after the workshop' model based on your specific group size and location requirements. This ensures you only pay for what you actually use. You can use our online Cost Calculator for an instant estimate or request a custom quote for your specific youth project in Iringa.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Iringa? It’s more than just painting; it's about empowerment and discovery! Street art is a powerful hook that engages even the hardest-to-reach young people in a way traditional art classes sometimes can't. 🔥

Boost Confidence: Seeing a massive piece of art come together gives participants an incredible sense of achievement. 🏆
Teamwork in Action: Our workshops require communication and collaboration to create a unified mural.
Creative Outlet: It provides a safe space for self-expression and processing emotions through vibrant colours.
Professional Mentorship: Learn directly from real street artists who share their journey and techniques.
100% Fun Guaranteed: We focus on high energy and positive vibes from start to finish. 🎉
Safe and Legal: We teach the importance of legal street art and respecting public spaces.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro, explaining the history of street art and the essential safety rules for using spray cans.
Mastering the Can: Each participant gets their first can to practice basic lines, dots, and 'filling' techniques on practice boards.
Sketching the Vision: Our artists help the youth group brainstorm a theme—be it community, nature, or personal identity—and sketch it out.
The First Layer: It’s time to hit the wall or canvas! We guide the group through applying the background colours and 'blocking' the main shapes.
Adding the Detail: This is where the magic happens. Participants learn how to use different nozzles (caps) to create highlights, shadows, and crisp outlines.
Collaborative Finale: The group works together to blend their individual styles into one cohesive, massive mural that celebrates their teamwork.
The Big Reveal & Photos: We step back, admire the hard work, and take professional-quality photos of the group with their masterpiece.
Clean Up & Wrap: We pack up all the materials, leaving the site tidy and the participants with a huge sense of accomplishment and creative pride.

Local culture

Iringa is a city that naturally inspires creativity, nestled among the dramatic rocky outcrops and the rich history of the Hehe people. We love bringing street art to this region because the local youth have such a unique perspective, blending traditional Tanzanian influences with modern urban vibes. Iringa’s artistic pulse is growing, and our workshops aim to give young people the tools to contribute to that culture in a positive, legal, and spectacular way. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Iringa is famous for its basket weaving? We often see those intricate geometric patterns from Hehe baskets sneaking into the graffiti designs created by local youth!

Whether we are working near the iconic Gangilonga Rock or in the heart of the city, the energy of Iringa’s youth is unmatched. We are proud to support the local community by fostering creative skills that go beyond the spray can.

Pricing

Every youth project in Iringa is unique, and our pricing reflects that. Factors like group size, the amount of paint required, and whether we are painting on temporary boards or a permanent wall help determine the final cost. The best part?
