Why choose us in Mount Hagen?

Why choose our specialized street art program in Mount Hagen? We don't just teach people how to spray paint; we provide a platform for self-expression that is often missing from traditional art forms. Here’s why our workshops are a hit:

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a vibrant image appear instantly on a canvas provides a huge sense of accomplishment. 💪
Sensory Engagement: The sound of the rattle, the feel of the spray, and the visual pop of colour create a wonderful multi-sensory experience.
完全 Inclusive: We use tools like "fat caps" (which are easier to press) and stencils to ensure physical limitations never stop the creativity.
Professional Guidance: Our artists are not just experts in paint; they are patient, encouraging, and love sharing their passion with everyone. ✨
Safe Environment: We use low-odour paints and provide all necessary safety gear, ensuring a stress-free experience for caregivers and participants alike.
No Financial Risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, you can book with total peace of mind. 🏆

How it works

Initial chat and planning: We start by discussing the specific needs and abilities of your group to tailor the workshop perfectly. ✨
Setting the scene: Our team arrives early at your Mount Hagen location to set up plastic flooring, canvases, and all the colourful gear.
Safety first: We suit everyone up in protective ponchos, gloves, and masks while explaining how to use the equipment safely.
The 'No-Rules' introduction: Our professional artists demonstrate basic spray techniques and show how different caps create different effects. 🔥
Choosing the vibe: Participants pick their favourite colours and themes. We often use stencils to help get those first shapes onto the canvas.
Creative flow: This is the best part! Everyone gets to spray, layer, and experiment. Our artists are right there to help with a steady hand whenever needed.
The big reveal: We take a moment to look at the collective and individual masterpieces created by the group. 🏆
Tidy up time: We handle the entire cleanup process, leaving your venue exactly as we found it—except for the awesome new art!
Take it home: Participants get to keep their canvases as a permanent reminder of their creative achievement in the Western Highlands.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spray paint safe for participants with respiratory sensitivities?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odour, non-toxic water-based spray paints for our special needs sessions in Mount Hagen whenever possible. We also provide full protective gear, including masks, gloves, and ponchos. Our professional artists are trained to supervise the environment closely, ensuring a secure, controlled, and comfortable space for everyone to explore their creativity without any risks.

Where in Mount Hagen do these workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible. Whether you want us to come to a care facility, a local school, or a community centre in the Western Highlands, we can bring the workshop to you. We also have access to covered outdoor spaces if you'd prefer to host it at a dedicated art venue. As long as there is decent ventilation and a bit of space to move, we can make it work!

How long does a typical special needs workshop last?

Usually, our sessions for special needs groups last between 1.5 to 2 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are happy to adjust the timing—shortening it for those with shorter attention spans or extending it for groups that really get into the flow of the painting process.

What is the ideal group size for this program?

We don't have a strict minimum! We love hosting small, intimate groups because it allows our artists to provide one-on-one support. For larger groups, we simply bring along extra professional artists to ensure every participant gets the attention and encouragement they deserve. Just let us know your expected numbers, and we will tailor the team to suit your specific requirements.

Do participants need any prior art skills to join?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We use custom-made stencils and simplified techniques that allow anyone to create something beautiful, regardless of their previous art experience or physical dexterity. Our goal is to boost confidence and have fun, not to create 'perfect' art. Every splash of colour is a success in our books!

How do we book a session and what are the payment terms?

Booking is easy and stress-free. You can start by using our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate, or simply send us a request via our contact form. We don't require upfront payments—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% happy with the experience. We also have backup artists ready to go, so your event is guaranteed.
