Is the spray paint safe for participants with respiratory sensitivities?
Absolutely! We use high-quality, water-based spray paint options for our indoor-adapted sessions and ensure that all participants are equipped with professional-grade protective gear, including masks and gloves. Safety is our top priority in Osijek, and our artists are trained to supervise the workshop closely, ensuring a fun, hazard-free environment for everyone involved, regardless of their specific needs or sensitivities.
Can you host the workshop at our own facility in Osijek?
We are incredibly flexible! Whether you want us to come to your care centre in Osijek or prefer to use one of our accessible outdoor street art locations, we can make it work. We bring all the necessary equipment, floor coverings, and materials to your chosen venue. Our goal is to make the experience as convenient and stress-free as possible for your group.
How do the artists interact with participants who have communication barriers?
Our artists are not just talented painters; they are patient, empathetic communicators. Before the workshop, we discuss the specific needs of your group so our mentors can adapt their teaching style. We use visual aids, hands-on demonstrations, and encouraging guidance to ensure everyone feels capable and proud of their work. It is all about positive reinforcement and creative freedom!
How long does a typical special needs graffiti session last?
For our special needs programs in Croatia, we recommend a duration of 90 minutes to 2 hours. This timeframe is usually perfect for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are happy to adjust the schedule to include more frequent breaks or a slower pace if that better suits the energy levels and concentration spans of your specific group.
Do participants need any prior art skills to enjoy the workshop?
Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We guide participants through basic shapes and simple spraying techniques that yield impressive results quickly. This 'low barrier to entry' is what makes graffiti such a fantastic medium for building confidence. Everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment, regardless of their previous artistic experience or physical dexterity.
What is the ideal group size for this type of workshop?
We suggest groups of 5 to 15 participants per artist to ensure everyone receives the dedicated attention they deserve. If you have a larger group in Osijek, we simply bring along additional professional artists from our backup pool to maintain a high level of support and safety. We never want anyone to feel overwhelmed or left out during the creative process.
