How far in advance should we book our team development workshop?

To ensure your team in Bukavu has the best experience, we recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance. This allows us to secure our top professional artists and prepare all the necessary high-quality spray paints and protective gear tailored to your group size. However, if you have a last-minute request, do get in touch! With our network of backup artists, we often manage to accommodate tight schedules without compromising on quality.

Do we need any previous artistic experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our workshops are specifically designed for beginners. Most participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to complex spray techniques. The goal is team bonding and creativity, not perfection. You will be amazed at how quickly your team develops the skills to create a professional-looking mural together in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

Is the graffiti workshop safe and what gear is provided?

We take safety very seriously. We provide all necessary protective equipment, including high-quality FFP2 masks to prevent inhalation of fumes, disposable gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothing clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure everyone feels comfortable and secure while using the materials.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

Rain won't dampen our spirits in Bukavu! We always have a 'plan B' for our team building events. If the weather looks bad, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor area or an indoor location using specialized low-odour water-based cans. Our flexible team will coordinate with you to ensure the workshop goes ahead smoothly, regardless of the tropical weather conditions.

How long does a typical team building session last?

A standard team development session usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This includes a brief introduction to street art history, technique practice, and the final creation of your team mural. We can adjust the duration to fit your corporate schedule—whether you need a quick 90-minute energy boost or a more intensive half-day creative retreat overlooking Lake Kivu. Just let us know your timeframe.

What is your payment policy for corporate clients?

We are proud of our 'pay after the workshop' policy. We don't require any upfront payment or deposits to secure your booking in Bukavu. We believe in the quality of our service and want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience first. After the session is complete and your team is buzzing with creative energy, we will send an invoice for the agreed amount.

Can we create a shared mural that represents our company values?

Yes, that is the main goal! Our team development workshops are designed to be collaborative. After practicing individual skills, your group will work together on a large-scale project—often a canvas or a temporary wall. We can even incorporate your company’s values, mission, or logo into the design, creating a lasting symbol of your team's collective effort and unity during their time in South Kivu.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next team development day in Bukavu? It’s simple: it works. Moving out of the office and into a creative space allows people to see each other in a new light. Here is why our sessions are a hit:

Boosts Communication: Creating a mural requires constant dialogue and coordination, naturally improving how your team talks to each other.
Levels the Playing Field: In graffiti, there’s no hierarchy. The CEO and the intern start with the same blank canvas and the same spray can.
Encourages Risk-Taking: Street art is about bold moves. We help your team embrace mistakes and turn them into creative solutions.
Physical & Mental Engagement: It’s an active experience that gets people moving, which is proven to increase focus and morale.
Tangible Results: Your team will have a physical artwork to admire at the end, providing a lasting sense of shared accomplishment.
Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the flow of spray paint, helping your team decompress and recharge.

Step by step

Setup & Safety: On the day, we arrive early to set up the workspace, canvases, and all protective gear including suits, masks, and gloves.
Skill Introduction: We start with a high-energy intro to graffiti culture and a demonstration of essential spray painting techniques by our pros.
Hands-on Practice: Every team member gets their own space to experiment with the cans, learning how to control lines, fades, and pressure.
Collaborative Sketching: The team comes together to outline the main mural, applying the skills they've just learned to a shared vision.
The Big Build: This is where the magic happens! Your team works in sync to fill, shade, and detail the mural under our expert guidance.
Final Reveal & Debrief: We add the finishing touches and take team photos. We conclude with a brief reflection on the collaboration process.

Local culture

Bukavu is a city defined by its resilience and vibrant spirit, making it a fantastic location for a team building experience that requires grit and imagination. From the bustling streets of Bagira to the more tranquil atmosphere near the Ruzizi River, the local culture is rich with visual storytelling. While traditional art has long been a staple of South Kivu, the urban landscape of Bukavu is increasingly becoming a canvas for modern expression. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging your team to draw inspiration from the city's unique architecture and the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding hills. By engaging in street art here, your team isn't just making a mural; they are connecting with the pulse of one of DR Congo's most picturesque and culturally dynamic cities.

Pricing

Our team development packages in Bukavu are flexible to suit various budgets and requirements. Pricing typically ranges from FC 50,000 to FC 120,000 per person, depending on the group size, the choice of materials, and the location of the event.

We believe every team is unique, so we don't offer one-size-fits-all pricing. Whether you want a small-scale creative session or a massive corporate event, we'll work with you to find the best fit.
