Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students and staff who join our Bukavu workshops have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics—nozzle control and safety—before moving into more complex techniques. We provide a supportive environment where your creativity can flow freely, regardless of your previous art experience. It’s all about expression and having a great time with your peers.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for university students?

We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our spray cans are selected for their low-hazard profiles, and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or via safe indoor setups. Our instructors are trained to manage groups safely while ensuring everyone enjoys the creative process without any worries.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Standard university workshops usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives your group enough time to learn the fundamental skills, sketch out a concept, and execute a large-scale mural together. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window during a campus festival, we can adapt the timing to fit your event perfectly without losing the core 'wow' factor.

Where in Bukavu do these workshops take place?

We are fully mobile! In Bukavu, we can set up on your university campus, perhaps near a common area or sports field, using our professional mobile walls. If you’d prefer an off-campus experience, we can suggest local spots that allow for street art. We bring everything to you, so you don't have to worry about the logistics of moving a large group.

Can we make individual artworks instead of a large mural?

Yes, we do! While many university events focus on large collaborative murals to celebrate teamwork, we can also set up individual canvases. This allows each student to take home their own piece of Bukavu-inspired street art at the end of the day. Just let us know your preference when booking so we can bring the right materials for your vision.

How does the payment and booking process work?

We understand that university budgets and event planning can be complex. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront payments to secure your date. We also have a network of backup artists available, ensuring that your event goes ahead even if an instructor is unexpectedly unavailable. Reliability is one of our core promises.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your university in Bukavu? It’s more than just painting on walls—it’s about building a campus culture that celebrates creativity and collaboration. Here is why it works:

Stress relief: Painting is a fantastic way for students to decompress and express emotions outside of academic pressure.
Team unity: Working on a single mural requires communication and cooperation, strengthening bonds within student groups.
Professional guidance: Learn from real street artists who bring years of industry experience to your campus.
Zero risk: With our 'pay after' policy and backup artist guarantee, your university event is in safe hands.
Custom themes: We can tailor the workshop to focus on university values, local Bukavu history, or social awareness.
Unique social content: These workshops provide amazing photo opportunities that look great on the university's social media platforms.

Step by step

Introduction and safety: We start by meeting your group and handing out protective gear. Our artists explain how to use the equipment safely and responsibly.
The basics of spray-painting: You’ll learn how different nozzles (caps) affect the spray and how to control your hand movements for clean lines.
Concept sketching: Whether it's a university logo or a piece of local Bukavu social commentary, we help you sketch the blueprint for your mural.
Filling and blending: This is where the colour comes in! You'll learn how to fill large areas quickly and blend colours for that professional gradient look.
Outlining and details: Our artists show you how to add the 'final touch' outlines that make the piece pop and look sharp from a distance.
The big reveal: We step back as a group to admire the finished masterpiece. It’s the perfect moment for photos and social media shares.
Cleanup and wrap-up: We handle all the disposal of cans and equipment, leaving your campus exactly as we found it, except for the new art!
