Do I need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! This workshop is specifically designed for beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide you through every stage, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering basic lettering and filling techniques. We provide a supportive environment where making mistakes is just part of the creative process. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can create something impressive under our expert guidance. Everyone starts somewhere!

Is the workshop safe for participants?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always work in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our instructors are trained to manage groups safely, ensuring that everyone follows the correct procedures while having an absolute blast making their mark in Popondetta.

When do I need to pay for the workshop?

We've made the process as stress-free as possible. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your workshop. We believe in the quality of our service and our 100% satisfaction guarantee, so you only pay after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are completely happy with the experience before any money changes hands. It's all part of our commitment to trust and fun!

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard anti-vandalism workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic techniques, and complete a final collaborative masterpiece. If you have specific time constraints or want a more intensive full-day session, we can definitely customise the duration to suit your group's schedule. Just let us know what you need!

What materials are included in the price?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes a wide variety of premium spray paint colours, protective equipment (masks, gloves, suits), and the surfaces we'll be painting on—whether that's large canvases, portable walls, or a designated community space. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and bring your creative energy!

What is the maximum group size you can handle?

Our anti-vandalism workshops are perfect for schools, youth groups, corporate teams, or community organisations. We can accommodate small groups of 10 or large-scale community events with over 100 participants. Because we have a large network of backup artists, we can scale our team to ensure every participant gets individual attention and guidance, regardless of the overall group size.

What happens if it rains or an artist is sick?

While we love the sun, we always have a plan B! If the weather in Popondetta doesn't play ball, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space with proper ventilation. Plus, with our reliable backup artist system, we guarantee that your event will go ahead as planned—we never cancel on our clients due to artist availability!

The experience

Why choose our anti-vandalism program for your next event or community initiative? It's about more than just painting walls—it's about building a better Popondetta through creativity! ✨

Channel Energy Positively: We turn the urge to "tag" into the drive to create sophisticated, beautiful murals that people actually want to look at! 🎨
Zero Risk, All Reward: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, you can book with total confidence knowing we're committed to your satisfaction. ✅
Professional Mentorship: Participants don't just learn to spray; they learn from real-world artists who share their journey and work ethic. 🎤
Community Pride: Transforming a dull or vandalised wall into a piece of art creates a huge sense of ownership and pride for everyone involved. 🏆
Reliability Guaranteed: We have a deep bench of backup artists, so your workshop will never be cancelled due to illness. We always show up! 💪
The "Fun" Factor: Let's be honest—spraying paint is incredibly satisfying and a massive stress-buster for all ages. 🎉

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a quick briefing on how to use the equipment safely and an intro to the day's goals.
The "Street" Philosophy: A short, engaging chat about the difference between illegal vandalism and constructive, beautiful street art.
Mastering the Can: Learn the 'can control' basics—distance, pressure, and speed are the keys to a clean line.
Sketching Your Style: Grab the markers and plan your design on paper before we move to the big walls.
First Lines: Time to spray! We start by outlining the main shapes of our collaborative mural.
Fill & Fade: Learn how to fill large areas efficiently and create those iconic graffiti colour gradients and 'fades'.
The Power of the Outline: We add the 'final' outlines and highlights that make the artwork pop and look professional.
Cleanup & Reflection: We tidy up the site and take a moment to admire the collective masterpiece we've created.
Group Photo: Strike a pose in front of your new artwork—you've officially helped make Popondetta more colourful!

Local culture

Popondetta, the capital of Oro Province, is a place known for its resilience and stunning natural surroundings, from the peaks of Mount Lamington to the vibrant local markets. We believe the youth and community members here have stories to tell that are as bold and beautiful as the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing butterfly. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging participants to incorporate Oro's unique cultural heritage into their designs.

Fun Fact: Did you know Oro Province is the only place in the world where you can find the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing, the world's largest butterfly? We love seeing these magnificent patterns inspire our students' graffiti wings!

By bringing our graffiti workshop experience to Popondetta, we're adding a modern, urban layer to the city's rich history, providing a legal outlet for the next generation of PNG artists to shine alongside peers in cities like Port Moresby and Lae.

Pricing

We believe every project in Popondetta is unique, which is why we don't do "one size fits all" pricing. Whether you're planning a small school session or a massive city-wide mural project, we'll tailor the experience to fit your goals.
