What kind of surfaces can the artist paint on during the event?

Our talented artists can paint on almost anything! While large wooden panels or stretched canvases are the most popular choices for events in Popondetta, we can also work on vehicles, clothing, or even temporary walls. If you have a specific surface in mind that fits your event's theme, just let us know. We bring all the necessary preparation materials to ensure the paint adheres perfectly and looks stunning under the event lights.

Is the paint messy or smelly for an indoor event?

Not at all! We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and acrylics designed for event environments. If your event is indoors or in a marquee, we set up a dedicated 'spray zone' with protective floor coverings and ventilation if needed. Our team is highly experienced in keeping the process tidy, so you won't have to worry about overspray or strong fumes bothering your guests while they enjoy the show.

Can we request a specific design or brand logo?

Absolutely! In fact, we love it when the art reflects your specific brand or event theme. Before the big day in Popondetta, we’ll chat about your vision, colour schemes, and any logos you want included. The artist will then create a custom concept that evolves throughout the performance. Watching a brand identity come to life through street art is one of the most engaging ways to capture an audience's attention.

How long does a typical live painting session last?

A standard live painting performance usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours, but we are completely flexible. We can time the 'reveal' or completion of the piece to coincide with a keynote speech, a product launch, or the peak of your party. If you’re hosting a multi-day festival or a longer corporate retreat, we can even arrange for a larger-scale piece that develops over several days.

What happens to the artwork after the event is over?

One of the best parts of a Graffitifun performance is that you get to keep the masterpiece! Once the paint is dry, the artwork is yours to display in your office, school, or home as a permanent memory of the event. It’s a fantastic way to bring a bit of that high-energy street art vibe into your everyday environment. We can even help advise on the best way to transport the finished piece.

What happens if the artist can't make it?

We understand that plans can change. That’s why Graffitifun works with a professional network of backup artists. In the rare case that your scheduled artist is unavailable due to an emergency, we have another pro ready to step in and deliver the same high-quality performance. Your event in Popondetta is in safe hands with us, ensuring your entertainment goes off without a single hitch.

Are there any safety concerns with live spray painting?

Safety is our top priority. Our artists are trained in the safe use of all materials and carry out a dynamic risk assessment on-site. We provide protective barriers if the public is very close and ensure all cables and equipment are tucked away safely. We want everyone to have a blast watching the art happen, so we take care of the boring safety bits so you don't have to.

Local culture

Popondetta, the heart of Oro Province, is a place where community and vibrant culture meet. From the bustling local markets to the gateway of the famous Kokoda Track, there is an undeniable energy in the air. Bringing live painting to this region isn't just about the art; it's about celebrating that local 'Oro' spirit through a modern, urban lens. We love the way street art can blend with the traditional patterns and natural beauty found in PNG, creating something entirely unique for your event.

Fun Fact: Popondetta is known for its proximity to the stunning Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing—the largest butterfly in the world! Our artists can even incorporate local motifs like these into your performance for a truly authentic touch. 🦋
