What exactly is an anti-vandalism graffiti program?

An anti-vandalism program is a proactive approach to urban art. In Rumelange, we teach participants the difference between illegal tagging and structured, legal street art. By providing a creative outlet and teaching the 'unwritten rules' of the graffiti world, we reduce the urge for illicit spraying. It transforms potential vandals into respected local artists who take pride in their community rather than damaging it.

Is the workshop actually fun or is it just a lecture?

Absolutely! While this program has a serious community goal, the workshop itself is incredibly fun and high-energy. It’s a hands-on experience where you get to use high-quality spray cans, learn cool techniques, and express your individuality. Whether you are in Rumelange or over in Esch-sur-Alzette, our workshops are designed to be the highlight of your week while teaching valuable life lessons about respect.

What safety measures are in place during the workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are professional artists from the Graffitifun team who are trained in managing groups safely. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier to control, ensuring a safe environment for everyone involved in our Rumelange sessions.

Where in Rumelange do these workshops take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the anti-vandalism program at a variety of legal street art spots across Rumelange, or we can bring the mobile 'graffiti wall' to your school, community centre, or youth club. We also operate in nearby cities like Dudelange, so we are expert at setting up professional painting stations almost anywhere that has adequate ventilation.

Do I need to have any artistic talent to participate?

Not at all. This program is specifically designed to take beginners from 'zero to hero'. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to colour blending and 'piece' construction. Most people who join us in Rumelange have never held a spray can before, and they are always amazed at the professional-looking mural they’ve created by the end of the session!

How long does a typical session last?

The workshop typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the educational intro, safety briefing, practice session, and the final creation of a large-scale mural. For larger community groups in Rumelange, we can also offer full-day 'Street Art Intensives' that dive deeper into the history and culture of graffiti.

How much does it cost and how do I book?

Getting a price is easy! In Rumelange, our workshops generally range from €35 to €70 per person, depending on the group size and the specific materials required. Because every community project is unique, we recommend using our online Cost Calculator or requesting a custom quote. The best part? You don't have to pay anything upfront; you only pay after the workshop is complete!

Local culture

Rumelange, the heart of the "Land of the Red Rocks", has a rugged, industrial soul that is the perfect backdrop for vibrant street art. From the historic mines to the lush surrounding forests, there is so much visual inspiration to draw from. Our workshops often pay homage to the city's mining heritage, encouraging participants to blend the "Red Rock" identity with modern urban styles. We love seeing how local legends and industrial motifs get a neon-spray-paint makeover!

Fun Fact: Did you know Rumelange is the southernmost town in Luxembourg? It’s literally where the steel industry met the soil, and we think that mixture of grit and growth is exactly what graffiti culture is all about!

Beyond our anti-vandalism programs, we also host events in Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette, helping to connect the dots of the Grand Duchy's growing street art community.
