Do we need any previous drawing or painting skills?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to join our youth projects in Rumelange. Our professional artists are pros at breaking down complex mural techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on building confidence and having a blast, so whether you're a total beginner or a budding doodler, you'll walk away with a piece of art you're genuinely proud of. It's all about the experience!

Is the workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. Our spray paints are selected for their quality, and we always work in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces. Our instructors are experienced in managing groups of young people, ensuring that the cans are used responsibly while maintaining a fun, high-energy environment throughout the session.

What should our group wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little 'colourful.' Even though we provide protective suits, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes! Since most of our Rumelange projects take place outdoors near the industrial heritage sites, it’s also a good idea to bring a jacket if the weather looks a bit ‘Luxembourgish’ (changeable). We provide everything else you need!

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

A standard youth project workshop typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of graffiti, practice basic spray techniques, and complete a final collaborative masterpiece or individual canvases. If you're looking for a more intensive multi-day project to cover a large public wall in Rumelange, we can certainly arrange that too—just let us know your goals!

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you have a small youth group of 10 or a large community initiative with 50+ participants, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists (our backup team is always ready) to ensure everyone gets personal attention and plenty of time with the spray cans. This keeps the energy high and the learning effective for every single participant.

Can we paint on a real wall in Rumelange?

While we often work on large temporary wooden walls or professional canvases, we love working on permanent murals! If you have a specific wall in Rumelange in mind—perhaps at a youth centre or a local school—we can help with the planning. If not, we provide all the mobile surfaces required so you can take your artwork home or display it at your local community hub.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is easy and stress-free. You don't need to pay anything upfront; we work on a 'pay after the workshop' basis because we are 100% confident you'll love the experience. Simply reach out via our contact form for a custom quote, and we’ll handle the logistics. If you need to see costs first, try our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate for your group size.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Rumelange? It's more than just painting; it's about building community and confidence. Here is why our workshops rock:

🔥 Instant Engagement: Graffiti is naturally 'cool,' making it one of the easiest ways to get teenagers excited and involved.
💪 Skill Building: Participants learn can control, colour theory, and spatial awareness in a hands-on environment.
🤝 Team Collaboration: Creating a large-scale mural requires communication and working together towards a common goal.
🌈 Safe Self-Expression: We provide a legal, structured outlet for urban creativity, teaching respect for public spaces.
🎉 Unforgettable Fun: There’s nothing quite like the hiss of a spray can and seeing your design come to life in minutes!

Step by step

Introduction & safety: We start with a quick meet-and-greet and kit everyone out in protective gear. Safety first!
History & culture: A brief, high-energy talk about the roots of street art and how it became a global phenomenon.
The tag creator: Use our digital tools or paper sketches to brainstorm your first 'tag' or nickname design.
Can control 101: Our artists demonstrate how to hold the can, adjust pressure, and create different line widths.
Practice session: Everyone moves to the practice wall to get a feel for the spray and perfect their 'fill-ins'.
Main production: This is where the magic happens! We work on the main project, whether it's a massive group mural or individual pieces.
Shadows & highlights: Learn the pro secrets of adding 3D effects, 'cuts', and 'shines' to make the art pop.
The final reveal: We step back, peel off any tape, and admire the collective masterpiece created by the youth team.
Cleanup & photos: We snap some high-quality photos of the group with their work to remember the day forever!

Local culture

Rumelange, known historically as the iron heart of Luxembourg, is the perfect place for a street art revolution. With its rugged industrial heritage and the famous National Mining Museum nearby, there is a natural connection between the town's hardworking past and the bold, raw energy of modern graffiti. We love bringing the vibrancy of street art to this unique corner of the south, bridging the gap between historical red earth and contemporary neon paint.

Fun Fact: Rumelange is actually the southernmost town in Luxembourg! It’s tucked right up against the French border, making it a cross-cultural hub where different influences have always met—much like the different styles of graffiti we explore in our workshops. ✨

Pricing

Our youth project pricing is designed to be affordable for community groups and schools in Rumelange:

Standard Workshops: From €35 to €70 per person.
What affects the price? Group size, duration, and the type of surface (e.g., individual canvases vs. a large wall).
Schools/NGOs: Special rates often apply for recurring community projects!

No upfront payment is required—you only pay once the workshop is complete and everyone is happy!
