The experience

Why choose a graffiti project for your group? 🎨

Graffiti is more than just paint on a wall; it’s a powerful tool for social engagement and personal growth. Here’s why it’s a hit with youth in Luxembourg City:

  • Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant mural they helped create gives young people a massive sense of achievement. 💪
  • Team Building: You can't paint a 10-metre wall alone! It requires communication, planning, and supporting each other. 🤝
  • Positive Expression: We channel energy into a constructive, legal, and beautiful outlet that respects the community. ✨
  • Professional Mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active pros who share real-world creative skills. 🎤
  • Inclusive for All: You don't need to be 'good at drawing' to enjoy graffiti. It’s an accessible art form for everyone. 🌈

Step by step

  1. The Spark: We start with a high-energy intro about graffiti history and the importance of respect in the street art community.
  2. Design Lab: Participants grab paper and markers to sketch their ideas, learning about 'tags', 'throw-ups', and 'pieces'.
  3. Safety First: Everyone gets fitted with professional masks, gloves, and overalls while we demonstrate safe can handling.
  4. Can Control: Before the main event, we practice basic techniques: lines, dots, and fades on a practice surface.
  5. Outline: The young artists move to the main wall or canvas to sketch their collective design in a light 'ghost' colour.
  6. The Fill: This is the fun part! Everyone works together to fill in the letters and characters with vibrant colours.
  7. The Detail: Our pros help the group add highlights, 3D shadows, and that sharp final outline that makes the art pop.
  8. Final Touches: We add 'bubbles', 'stars', and other background elements to tie the whole mural together.
  9. The Gallery: We finish with a group photo in front of the masterpiece and a reflection on what the team achieved together.

Local culture

Street art in Luxembourg City

Street art in the Grand Duchy 🏰

Luxembourg City might be known for its banks and historic fortifications, but beneath the surface, there is a pulse of vibrant urban art. We love taking youth groups to iconic spots like the Schluechthaus (the old slaughterhouse) in Hollerich, which has become a legendary legal canvas for local talent. The contrast between the city's UNESCO World Heritage sites and the cutting-edge murals in districts like Bonnevoie creates a unique atmosphere for young creators.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Luxembourg hosts several urban art festivals annually? The city encourages legal street art as a way to revitalise urban spaces, making it the perfect playground for a youth project that connects young people with their local environment in a positive, colourful way. Whether we're inspired by the Casemates or the modern mudam, the city's architecture provides the perfect backdrop.
