Do the participants need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic skills are required for our Diekirch youth projects. Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on the 'fun' aspect of street art, ensuring every participant feels confident holding a spray can. By the end of the session, even those who thought they couldn't draw a straight line will have created something they are proud of.

Is the workshop safe for teenagers and young adults?

Safety is our number one priority in Diekirch. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, as well as gloves and protective overalls to keep clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas, and our instructors are trained to supervise the group closely, ensuring everyone uses the materials correctly and stays safe throughout the entire creative process.

Where in Diekirch do these workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible with locations! We can host the youth project at your community centre, a local school playground, or one of Diekirch's designated street art zones. If you don't have a venue, we can help find a suitable outdoor spot or provide mobile graffiti walls that we set up and take down, leaving no mess behind. We bring the art culture directly to your doorstep.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

A standard youth project workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough time for an introduction to graffiti history, practicing basic techniques, sketching designs, and completing a final large-scale piece. For larger community festivals or multi-day youth initiatives in Luxembourg, we can also offer extended programmes or shorter 'drop-in' taster sessions depending on your specific goals.

What should participants bring or wear on the day?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little paint on. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be messy business! We supply everything else: professional-grade spray cans in a huge variety of colours, caps for different line thicknesses, respiratory protection, and the canvases or boards. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and creative energy to the site.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Weather in the Diekirch district can be unpredictable, but we always have a Plan B. If the forecast looks rainy, we can move the workshop under a large canopy, use an indoor ventilated hall with mobile walls, or reschedule the event at no extra cost. We keep a close eye on the Luxembourgish weather reports to ensure your youth project goes off without a hitch, rain or shine.

How do we book a workshop for our youth group?

Booking is simple! You can use our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate for your group size in Diekirch. Once you're happy with the estimate, send us a request via our contact form. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is successfully completed. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event is never cancelled due to staff illness.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Diekirch? It’s not just about spraying paint; it’s about building a stronger community. here is why it works:

Instant engagement: Graffiti is "cool"—it bridges the gap and gets even the most reserved teens excited to participate. 🎤
Team building: Working on a large-scale mural requires communication, planning, and supporting each other. 🤝
Boosting confidence: Seeing a giant, professional-looking artwork that YOU helped create provides a massive sense of achievement. 🏆
Channeling energy: It provides a positive, legal outlet for creative energy and teaches respect for public spaces. 🛡️
Professional guidance: Our artists are mentors who share their passion and professional skills in a relatable way. ✨
Zero risk: With our "pay after" policy and backup artist guarantee, your community project is in safe hands. 🎉

Step by step

Intro and demo: We start with a high-energy introduction to the world of street art. Our pros show off some live techniques to get everyone inspired.
Safety briefing: We suit up! Everyone gets their mask, gloves, and overalls. We explain how to use the spray cans safely and responsibly.
Mastering the 'cap': Participants learn how different nozzles (caps) create different effects, from thin outlines to fat fills.
Sketching the vision: Before hitting the wall, we brainstorm a theme for the youth project. Participants sketch their ideas on paper to plan the masterpiece.
First lines: Under the guidance of our artists, the kids start by 'mapping out' their designs on the boards or walls using light paint.
Fill-in and flow: This is where the colour happens! The group works together to fill in the designs, learning about colour blending and fades.
The sharp outline: We teach the secret of the professional 'cut-out'—adding sharp outlines and highlights that make the graffiti pop off the wall.
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the finished work with a big group photo. After the fun, we take care of all the waste and packing up.
Legacy: The artwork remains with your youth group or community centre as a permanent reminder of what you achieved together!

Good to know

Duration: Usually 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customise sessions for half-day or full-day youth programmes.

Included: All spray cans, caps, protective gear (overalls, masks, gloves), and canvases or mobile walls.
Location: Flexible! We can come to your youth club, school, or a public space in Diekirch (with permits).
Safety: We use high-quality respiratory protection and water-based or low-solvent paints where possible to ensure a safe environment. 💪

Local culture

Diekirch, the historic heart of northern Luxembourg, is a town that knows how to blend tradition with modern energy. Known for its famous brewery and the bustling Place de la Libération, Diekirch provides a fantastic backdrop for urban renewal projects. While the town is famous for its donkey mascot (the Dikricher Esel), we're here to help the local youth show off their artistic 'stubbornness' in the best way possible! 🎨

In a town that hosts the legendary Cavalcade carnival, there's already a huge appetite for colour and creativity. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging youngsters from Diekirch and surrounding areas like Ettelbruck to contribute to the evolving visual culture of the region. Fun fact: Diekirch was the first town in Luxembourg to have electricity—now let’s use that historic spark to light up some creative ideas on the wall!
