Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every secondary school session in Diekirch. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep students safe and their school uniforms clean. Our professional artists lead with a comprehensive safety briefing, explaining how to handle spray cans responsibly. We only use specialized paints in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spaces to ensure a healthy environment for everyone involved.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard secondary school workshop in Diekirch usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for diving into the history of street art, practicing basic can control, and completing a final masterpiece. We can also adapt the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period blocks. If you have a larger project in mind, such as a full-day mural, just let us know!

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are very flexible! Whether you have a small art club of 15 students or an entire year group of 100+, we can make it happen. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists to ensure every student gets hands-on guidance and enough 'spray time'. We maintain a great student-to-mentor ratio so that the quality of the creative experience remains high for everyone.

Do students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to create simple lines and shapes. Our artists are experts at encouraging students who might feel 'uncreative' to find their own style. By the end of the session, even those who have never touched a spray can will be amazed at what they've created.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide everything! This includes a wide array of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the surfaces students will paint on—whether that’s individual canvases to take home or large professional plastic film walls (hoarding). Your school just needs to provide an outdoor space or a well-ventilated area, and we take care of the entire setup and clean-up.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for secondary education. It encourages self-expression, builds confidence, and teaches students about the fine line between vandalism and public art. It's a great way to engage students who might struggle with traditional classroom subjects. Additionally, our workshops foster teamwork and communication, especially when students work together on a large-scale collaborative piece. It’s an unforgettable way to liven up the curriculum!

What happens if it rains or an instructor is sick?

We’ve got you covered. Since we use professional artists and have a large network, we always have backup instructors ready to step in if someone falls ill. We also monitor the weather closely; while we can paint in light drizzle, we can move the workshop under a canopy or reschedule if the Diekirch weather decides to get truly wild. We guarantee your event will happen smoothly!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Diekirch secondary school? It’s not just an art lesson—it’s an experience that stays with the students forever. Here’s why it works: 🔥

Total Inclusivity: Street art doesn't care if you can "draw". It’s about style and expression, making it accessible for every single student.
Boosts Confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece come to life gives students a massive sense of achievement and pride in their work. 🏆
Safe & Controlled: We teach the difference between illegal tagging and legal street art, promoting respect for public spaces.
Professional Mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active creators who inspire students with real-world creative career paths.
Unforgettable Memories: Forget boring lectures! This is a high-energy, sensory experience that students will be talking about for the rest of the term. 🎤
Zero Stress for Teachers: We handle the setup, the materials, the instruction, and the cleanup. You just sit back and watch the creativity unfold! 🎨

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro about graffiti culture, street art history, and the evolution of the craft.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out in protective gear and receives an essential briefing on how to use the equipment safely and responsibly.
Nozzle knowledge: Students learn about 'caps'—how different nozzles create different line widths and textures on the wall.
First lines: Under the guidance of our pros, students practice basic strokes, dots, and fades on their own workspace.
Sketching the vision: We help students translate their ideas from paper to the 'wall', teaching them about scale and perspective.
Layering & filling: The fun part! Students start filling in their designs with vibrant colours and learning blending techniques.
The outline & highlights: We show them how to make their art 'pop' using sharp outlines and 3D effects for that professional finish.
Final reveal: The group reviews the collective work, creating a massive gallery of modern art right there on the school grounds.
Clean up: We handle the pack-down and ensure the area is left exactly as we found it—minus the awesome new art!

Local culture

Diekirch, known for its beautiful surroundings and the Sûre river, is a town that balances tradition with a vibrant, youthful energy. While the city is famous for its history and museums, the local youth culture is thriving, and street art is the perfect bridge between Diekirch's classic charm and modern creativity. We love working with schools in the area because the students here have such a unique perspective! 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Diekirch is famous for its donkey mascot? We’ve seen some incredible student graffiti tributes to the "Diekircher Esel"—it’s amazing how street art can celebrate local heritage with a modern twist! 🫏

From the bustling school zones to the quiet riverside paths, we bring that urban spark to the local community, ensuring your students feel connected to the wider Luxembourgish art scene in cities like Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette.
