How long does a typical workshop last for secondary students?

Our secondary school workshops in Ettelbruck typically last between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows students to move through the initial safety briefing and sketching phase into the hands-on spray painting part. If you have a specific school schedule to follow, we are more than happy to adjust the timing to fit into your double periods or special project days. We work around your curriculum!

Is the paint safe for teenagers and students?

Absolutely! We take safety very seriously. We provide high-quality FFP3 respirators, protective gloves, and disposable overalls for every student and teacher involved. Our professional artists supervise every step of the process to ensure the spray cans are used correctly. We also ensure the workspace is well-ventilated, whether we are working outdoors or in a large, open indoor space. Peace of mind is guaranteed.

What if some students have no artistic experience?

Don't worry, that is exactly why we are here! Most students have never touched a spray can before. Our expert artists excel at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on boosting confidence and showing students that everyone can be creative. By the end of the session, even the most hesitant students are usually the ones who don't want to stop painting!

Do we need to travel to a studio, or do you come to us?

We are fully mobile! Most of our Ettelbruck workshops take place on school grounds, such as the playground or a sports field, using our professional mobile boards. If your school doesn't have a suitable space, we can help find a local spot or arrange for the students to visit a legal graffiti wall in the region. We handle all the setup and cleanup, so your school stays tidy.

How much does a graffiti workshop cost per person?

The cost usually ranges between €35 and €70 per student. This depends on factors like the total number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and whether we are painting individual canvases or a large communal mural. Because we believe in transparency, we offer a cost calculator and the option to pay after the workshop is completed. Requesting a custom quote is the best way to get an exact price for your group.

Does a workshop encourage illegal graffiti or vandalism?

Actually, it's quite the opposite! Our workshops teach the history and culture of street art, emphasizing the difference between illegal vandalism and professional mural art. We focus on 'legal' street art and how it can be a positive career path or community-building tool. Educators often find that giving students a legal outlet for this type of expression actually reduces unwanted tagging around the school buildings.

Can the students paint a permanent mural at the school?

Yes! We love creating permanent legacies. We can facilitate a project where the students work together to design and paint a large mural on a school wall or on custom wooden panels. It’s a fantastic way to brighten up the school environment in Ettelbruck and give the students a sense of pride and ownership over their campus. We will guide the design process to ensure the final result looks professional.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your students? It’s more than just painting walls—it’s about empowerment and alternative learning! Here is why schools in Ettelbruck love our sessions:

Boosts Confidence: Even students who think they aren't 'artsy' find success with graffiti's bold, forgiving style. 🚀
Team Building: Collaborative murals require communication, planning, and working together toward a massive goal. 🤝
Professional Artists: Your students won't just learn from a teacher; they'll learn from real street artists with years of industry experience.
All-Inclusive: We bring everything. You don't need to worry about buying a single can of paint or a pair of gloves. 🧤
Safe & Controlled: We provide a professional environment where students can explore urban art safely and legally. 🔥
Stress Relief: Spray painting is incredibly tactile and satisfying—a great way for teens to decompress and focus.

Step by step

Introduction & Culture: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of graffiti, from New York subways to the modern galleries of Luxembourg.
Safety & Technique: Students get kitted out in protective gear and learn the 'golden rules' of handling a spray can safely and effectively.
Sketching the Vision: Before the paint flows, students brainstorm ideas and sketch their designs on paper, focusing on letters, 'burners', and characters.
The First Lines: Under our artists' guidance, students make their first marks on the boards, learning how to control pressure and distance.
Filling & Fading: We teach the students how to fill in their shapes and create cool gradient effects and colour transitions.
The Outline: This is where the magic happens! Students learn to 'cut' their lines to make their artwork pop and look professionally finished.
Highlights & Details: We add those final 3D effects, shines, and 'force fields' that turn a good piece into a masterpiece.
Group Review: We finish with a positive group walkthrough, where everyone gets to show off their work and celebrate their classmates' creativity.

Local culture

Ettelbruck, known as the 'Patton Town', has a long history of resilience and culture, but it’s also a place that embraces the modern! We love working in this part of Luxembourg because the students here have such a unique perspective, balanced between the town's historic roots and its forward-looking energy. From the busy streets near the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville to the quiet edges near the Alzette and Sauer rivers, the inspiration is everywhere. 🏞️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Luxembourg has some of the biggest legal street art festivals in Europe? While Ettelbruck is famous for its Remembrance Day parades, the youth here are increasingly part of a growing national scene that treats spray cans like fine-paint brushes!

By bringing our workshop to your school in Ettelbruck, we're connecting your students to a wider cultural movement that is thriving in nearby hubs like Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette. ✨
