Do I need any prior art experience for the VIP workshop?

Absolutely! Our VIP experience in Johannesburg is designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a stick figure to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic can control and lettering. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the high-quality piece you've created. It’s all about having fun and expressing yourself in a relaxed, supportive environment. ✨

What should I wear to the graffiti session?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide high-quality protective overalls, shoe covers, and gloves, spray paint can sometimes find a way through! Think 'streetwear' or old sneakers. We provide all the professional gear you need to stay as clean as possible while you let your inner rebel out on the canvas. 🎨

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Your safety is our top priority. We provide professional-grade masks to ensure you aren't breathing in fumes, along with gloves and protective clothing. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoor spots across Johannesburg. Our lead artists are highly experienced in handling materials safely and will give a full safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. You are in expert hands! 🛡️

How long does the VIP experience last?

A standard VIP experience in Jozi typically lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of Joburg street art, practice different spraying techniques, and complete your final masterpiece. If you have specific time constraints or want to extend the session with a catered lunch or extra painting time, just let us know and we can tailor the schedule for you. ⏰

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

For our VIP packages, we focus on quality over quantity, typically hosting groups from 2 to 20 people to ensure everyone gets personal attention from the artist. However, we can accommodate larger corporate groups or smaller private bookings upon request. If you have a specific group size in mind, get in touch for a custom quote that fits your Joburg crew perfectly. 👥

Do I need to pay upfront to secure my booking?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility—no upfront payment is required! You can book your date and confirm the details, and then pay after the workshop has been completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience before settling the bill. We accept various payment methods for your convenience. Ready to book your Jozi street art adventure? 💳

What happens if it rains on the day of my workshop?

Johannesburg weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! We have several indoor or sheltered locations available throughout the city. If there is a massive storm, we can usually pivot to an indoor venue or reschedule to a time that works for you. Our priority is making sure your VIP experience goes off without a hitch, regardless of the Gauteng weather. 🌧️

Local culture

Johannesburg is arguably the street art capital of Africa. From the iconic 'Shadowman' figures to the massive political murals that tell the story of South Africa’s journey, every wall in Jozi has a heartbeat. Our workshops often take place near creative hubs like Maboneng or Newtwon, where the air is thick with inspiration and the smell of fresh paint. We don't just teach you how to paint; we immerse you in the local 'Kasi' style and the sophisticated urban techniques that make Joburg's walls famous worldwide.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Johannesburg is home to one of the largest urban forests in the world? Painting here means you're often surrounded by lush greenery, right in the middle of a concrete jungle! 🌳🎨
