What is the minimum age for a graffiti birthday party in Chicago?

While we recommend our workshops for children aged 6 and up, younger kids can participate with a little extra help from our artists. We use high-quality spray cans that are manageable for smaller hands, and our pros are experts at keeping the energy high and the focus on fun. It’s all about letting their imagination run wild in a safe, guided environment. We make sure every child feels like a master artist by the end!

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our number one priority! We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks, for every child. Our spray paints are professional-grade but used in a strictly supervised outdoor or well-ventilated setting. Our artists are trained to manage groups of kids, ensuring everyone follows the safety rules while still having an absolute blast. You can relax while we handle the messy, creative fun responsibly!

Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our Chicago workshops are designed for everyone from total beginners to budding Picassos. Our professional artists lead the group through every single step, from basic lines to cool 3D effects. Most kids have never touched a spray can before they meet us, and that’s perfectly fine. By the time the party is over, they’ll have created a masterpiece they’re proud to show off.

What should the children wear to the workshop?

We recommend that the birthday stars wear old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little paint on. Even though we provide protective gear like ponchos and gloves, graffiti is a hands-on, messy art form, and stray mist can sometimes find its way onto sleeves or shoes. Think of it as a badge of honor from a day of serious creativity! Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is always the best choice.

Can the kids take their artwork home after the party?

Absolutely! Depending on the package you choose, the kids can either work together on a massive "birthday mural" or create their own individual canvases to take home. These canvases make the ultimate party favors—way better than a plastic bag of candy! It's a tangible memory of the best birthday party ever, ready to hang on their bedroom wall the moment they get home.

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

The Windy City can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! We always check the forecast in advance. If the weather looks like it won't cooperate for an outdoor session, we can often arrange an indoor ventilated space or reschedule the event. Plus, we have backup artists available to ensure your party happens no matter what. We’re committed to making sure the birthday vibes stay sunny!

How long does a typical graffiti birthday session last?

A standard graffiti birthday workshop in Chicago typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety demo, practice sessions, and the final creation of the masterpiece. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive experience, we can definitely extend the duration. We keep the pace fast and engaging so that no one ever gets bored!

Local culture

Chicago is a global powerhouse of street art, from the iconic murals in Pilsen to the legendary walls of Logan Square. Our workshops tap into this rich local heritage, giving kids a taste of the same creativity that defines the 606. We don't just teach painting; we celebrate the urban culture that makes Chicago unique. Whether your party is near the Loop or in a local park, we bring that authentic "Chi-town" artistic spirit to you.

Fun Fact: Chicago is home to the "Wabash Arts Corridor," one of the most concentrated areas of large-scale street art in the world! Our artists are inspired by these massive works every single day. 🏙️
