Do I need to be an artist or have previous experience?

No artistic talent is required! Our onboarding workshop in Chicago is designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists will guide you through every step, from how to hold the spray can to creating clean lines and vibrant fills. You will be amazed at what you can create in just a couple of hours. It is all about the experience and having a blast with your team or friends.

What should I wear to the graffiti workshop?

We provide high-quality protective gear including overalls, gloves, and masks. However, aerosol paint can be finicky, so we strongly recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable sneakers that you don't mind getting a little 'artistic' on. Avoid wearing expensive jewelry or designer fabrics. We want you to focus on the masterpiece you are creating, not on keeping your shoes spotless!

Is the workshop safe for everyone?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-pressure spray cans that are easier to control and provide professional-grade respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits. Our instructors are experienced professionals who provide a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and that everyone follows proper handling procedures throughout the entire session.

How long does the graffiti experience last?

Standard workshops usually run between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of the culture, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the completion of a final group project or individual canvas. If you have a specific schedule or time constraint for your Chicago event, just let us know and we can tailor the duration to fit your needs perfectly.

Can you host the workshop at my location in Chicago?

We are incredibly flexible! While we have amazing partner locations throughout Chicago, we can also come to you. If you have a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated indoor area (and permission!), our mobile team can set up the entire workshop at your office, backyard, or event venue. We bring all the boards, plastic covering, and materials needed to keep the site clean.

What is included in the price of the workshop?

We handle everything! Your booking includes professional artist instructors, all premium spray paint colors, protective gear (suits, gloves, masks), surfaces to paint on (specialized boards or canvases), and even some music to get the creative vibes flowing. There are no hidden fees—just show up ready to paint. We even take care of the setup and the cleanup after the session.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor session?

Rain is no problem in the Windy City! We have several indoor partner locations in Chicago that are perfectly ventilated for graffiti. If you booked an outdoor session and the weather doesn't cooperate, we can usually pivot to an indoor space or reschedule for a better day. We always stay in close contact with you leading up to the event to ensure everything goes smoothly regardless of the clouds.

Local culture

Chicago's street art scene is as deep and diverse as its deep-dish pizza! From the incredible murals along the 606 Trail to the vibrant, heritage-filled walls of Pilsen, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this rich local history, showing you how Chicago's unique style has influenced artists worldwide. We often host sessions near creative hubs like Wicker Park or West Loop, ensuring you're surrounded by inspiration.

Fun Fact: Did you know Chicago is home to some of the oldest "permission walls" in the country? These are legal spots where artists have been honing their craft for decades, helping bridge the gap between street culture and fine art! 🎨
