How long does a typical onboarding workshop last?

Each Denver graffiti workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time to cover the basics of spray painting, practice your lines on the practice wall, and complete your final masterpiece. If you are doing a larger team-building mural, we might lean toward the longer side to make sure every detail is perfect. We keep the energy high the whole time!

Do I need to bring my own spray paint or supplies?

We’ve got you covered! Graffitifun provides everything you need: premium spray paint in a rainbow of colors, high-quality caps for different line widths, gloves, and protective suits to keep your Denver street style clean. We even provide the canvases or boards. Just show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty, and we handle the rest.

I have zero artistic talent. Can I still participate?

Absolutely! Most of our workshop participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are masters at breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Whether you think you’re creative or haven't picked up a pencil in years, we guarantee you’ll walk away with a piece of art you’re proud to show off. It’s all about the experience!

Is the workshop safe for everyone?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odor paints whenever possible and provide all necessary protective gear, including gloves and masks if requested. Our instructors are professional artists who emphasize proper can control and spatial awareness. For Denver's high-altitude days, we also remind everyone to stay hydrated while we work. It’s a fun, controlled environment where everyone can feel comfortable.

Can we book this for a corporate team-building event?

Definitely! Graffiti is a fantastic way to bond. While this page focuses on general onboarding, we specialize in tailoring events for team building. We can facilitate collaborative murals where your team works together on a single giant piece of art representing your company values. It’s a great way to break down silos and get the creative juices flowing in a unique setting.

What happens if it rains or snows in Denver?

Denver weather can be unpredictable, but we are prepared! We have access to several indoor and sheltered locations across the city where we can spray safely regardless of the rain or snow. If you have a specific outdoor spot in mind and the weather turns, we’ll work with you to move to a backup indoor location or reschedule to ensure you get the best experience possible.

Do I need to pay in advance to secure my booking?

We offer total flexibility with a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront costs. Simply book your date, enjoy the creative explosion with our artists, and settle the payment once the fun is done. We want your experience to be stress-free from the moment you contact us until the last bit of paint dries on your canvas.

The experience

Why choose us for your creative journey in Denver? Because we don't just teach you how to paint; we invite you into the culture. Our workshops are about more than just lines on a wall—they're about confidence, expression, and having a blast in the Mile High City. 🚀

🔥 Real artist mentors: Learn from professionals who actually paint the walls you see around town.
💪 100% hands-on: We don't do boring lectures. You'll have a can in your hand within the first ten minutes.
🎉 Guaranteed fun: Our vibe is high-energy and zero-judgment. If you aren't smiling, we aren't done.
✨ No stress booking: With our pay-later policy and backup artists, your event is safe with us.
🏆 Take home your art: Every participant creates their own canvas—the ultimate Denver souvenir!

Step by step

Meet your artist: We kick things off with a quick intro from a professional street artist who knows the Denver scene inside and out. ✨
Safety and setup: Suit up! We provide gloves and protective gear. You'll learn how to handle the cans and choose your first colors.
Master the 'Tag': Every great artist starts with a tag. We’ll show you how to move your arm and wrist to create your own signature style.
Technique practice: Learn the difference between thin lines and fat caps. You'll practice 'fading' and 'cutting' on our practice boards. 🎨
Sketching your piece: Outline your main design on the canvas. Don't worry, our pros are right there to help you with proportions and flow.
Fill-in and Shading: This is where the magic happens! We’ll guide you through adding vibrant fills and 3D shadows to make your art pop. 💪
The Outline: Learn how to 'crisp up' your lines with a final outline that brings the whole piece together.
Detailing and Highlights: Add those final 'flashes' and white highlights that give your graffiti that professional, high-energy look.
The Unveil: Take photos with your finished masterpiece and celebrate your new skills with the group! 🏆

Local culture

Denver has evolved into a global destination for street art, and you can feel that energy in every block of the River North Art District (RiNo). From the massive murals of the Crush Walls festival to the hidden gems along the Cherry Creek Trail, the city breathes creativity. Our graffiti onboarding workshop in Denver is deeply inspired by this local scene, incorporating the bold colors and mountain-meets-metropolis vibes that define Colorado's capital. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that Denver's RiNo district was once a series of industrial warehouses? Today, it holds one of the highest concentrations of legal street art murals in the entire country, making it the perfect backdrop for your first spray-painting experience!
