Is graffiti art safe for kids and teenagers?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks, to ensure every camper stays clean and safe. Our Denver instructors are experienced professionals who provide a thorough safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We use low-odor, high-quality paints, and all activities take place in well-ventilated outdoor or large indoor areas. Your kids are in great hands with our expert street art crew.

Do the kids need prior art experience to participate?

Not at all! Our Denver summer camp workshops are designed for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to budding young artists. Our instructors break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We focus on technique, hand-eye coordination, and creative confidence. By the end of the session, even those who thought they couldn't draw a straight line will be amazed at the masterpiece they've created on their canvas.

What materials do we need to bring to the workshop?

We provide everything! Your registration includes high-quality spray paint in a rainbow of colors, professional-grade masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or practice walls and all necessary sketching materials. We recommend that campers wear 'art-friendly' clothes and closed-toe shoes just in case, but we’ve got the rest of the gear covered for a mess-free experience.

How long does a typical graffiti camp session last?

Our standard summer camp sessions in Denver typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives the youth enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their techniques, and complete a final project without feeling rushed. We find this timeframe is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus while ensuring every participant leaves with a finished piece of art they are proud of.

What happens if the scheduled instructor can't make it?

We are proud of our reliability! Unlike solo artists, Graffitifun has a deep roster of professional backup artists in the Denver area. If an instructor has an emergency, we have a qualified professional ready to step in so your camp schedule never skips a beat. We understand how important consistency is for summer programming, and we guarantee that your scheduled workshop will happen as planned.

Do we have to pay everything upfront?

We believe in the quality of our experience, which is why we don't require upfront payments for most bookings. You can organize your Denver summer camp activity with peace of mind and pay after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the creative energy and professional delivery we bring to your youth group. Fun and satisfaction are our primary goals!

Can the workshop theme be customized for our camp?

Absolutely! While we have a great curriculum ready to go, we love tailoring our workshops to fit your camp's specific theme. Whether you want to focus on 'Colorado Nature,' 'Superheroes,' or 'Community Unity,' our Denver artists can adapt the lesson plan and color palettes to match. Just let us know your vision when requesting a quote, and we will make sure the street art session aligns perfectly with your goals.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your Denver summer camp? It’s more than just painting—it’s about building confidence and community. 🚀

Confidence boost: Watch campers go from hesitant to 'street art masters' in just one afternoon.
Safe self-expression: We provide a legitimate, legal outlet for urban creativity that teens absolutely love.
Team builders: Our collaborative mural options teach kids how to communicate and create together.
Professional grade: No cheap supplies here—we use the same high-quality tools professional muralists use. 🔥
Zero stress for you: We handle the setup, the instruction, and the cleanup. You just bring the campers!
Guaranteed attendance: With our backup artist policy, your workshop is locked in, no matter what.

Step by step

The big intro: We start with a high-energy introduction to the world of street art, its history, and how it evolved into a global art form right here in Denver.
Safety first: Every camper gets geared up with masks, gloves, and protective suits while learning the essential 'dos and don’ts' of using spray cans.
Mastering the nozzle: Our pros teach 'Can Control 101'—learning how to create thin lines, fat caps, and smooth gradients on a practice wall.
Sketching the vision: Campers grab markers and paper to brainstorm their unique 'tag' or character, turning Wild West inspiration into urban art sketches.
The first layer: Time to hit the canvas! Students apply their background colors and silhouettes, learning how to layer paint like a professional artist.
Defining the details: This is where the magic happens—adding shadows, highlights, and those crisp outlines that make graffiti jump off the wall.
The final reveal: We hold a 'gallery walk' where every camper presents their work, fostering pride and confidence in their new creative skills.
Clean up & wrap: We tidy up the mural space and ensure everyone leaves with their custom canvas and a huge smile!
