Is graffiti workshops safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including gloves and masks. We also use low-odor, professional spray paint that is easier for kids to handle. Our experienced artists are trained to supervise primary school groups, ensuring that every child follows safety protocols while having a blast expressing their creativity in Denver.

What should the students wear to the workshop?

We recommend that students wear old clothes and sneakers that they don't mind getting a little 'artistic' on. Even though we provide protective aprons and gear, spray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves and shoes when kids are having this much fun. Think of it as a badge of honor from their day as an artist!

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Typically, our primary school workshops in Denver last between 1.5 to 2 hours. This timeframe is the 'sweet spot' for younger children—it’s long enough for them to learn the techniques and complete a masterpiece, but short enough to keep their energy levels high and their focus sharp without getting tired.

Do we need to travel to a studio, or can you come to our school?

We can come to you! While we have awesome local spots in Denver, we are fully mobile. We can set up temporary graffiti walls or use large canvases right on your school playground or in a well-ventilated gym. We handle all the setup and cleanup, so your school stays tidy while the kids get creative.

Do the children need any prior drawing or art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists guide the students through every step, from holding the can to creating cool effects. We focus on the 'fun' in Graffitifun, ensuring every child feels like a pro by the time they finish their first tag.

What happens to the artwork after the workshop?

The best part is that the kids get to keep their work! Whether they work on individual canvases or a large collective piece for the school, the art stays with you. Many Denver schools choose to display the final collective mural in their hallways or playground as a colorful reminder of the workshop.

How much does a graffiti workshop for a school cost?

Our pricing is flexible and depends on your group size and the specific setup you need. Generally, prices range from $35 to $75 per student. This includes all materials, gear, and professional instruction. For an accurate price for your specific school group, just hit our cost calculator or request a custom quote!

Teamwork makes the dream work: Our collective mural projects encourage kids to collaborate and communicate. 💪
Physical & Motor Skills: Can-control helps develop hand-eye coordination in a way that's way more fun than pen and paper.

Guaranteed Fun: Our 100% satisfaction focus means if the kids aren't smiling, we haven't done our job.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy demo and a quick talk about how to use the gear safely.
Learning the basics: Kids learn how to control the nozzle, manage pressure, and create their first lines.
Sketching the vision: Students grab markers to sketch out their names or cool symbols on their designated workspace.
Color selection: Picking the palette! We help students choose colors that pop and teach them about color theory.
Filling and fading: The fun part! We show them how to fill in their shapes and create cool gradient 'fade' effects.
Outlining and details: Our artists help the kids add sharp outlines to make their graffiti jump off the wall.
Adding the 'flare': We teach them those classic street art tricks like highlights, drips, and stars.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the finished masterpieces to celebrate their hard work!

Local culture

Denver is a city that breathes art, from the world-famous murals in the RiNo (River North) Arts District to the hidden gems in Santa Fe Drive. By bringing a graffiti workshop to your Denver primary school, you’re connecting students to the local culture that makes the Mile High City so unique. We love incorporating that local 'Mile High' spirit into our sessions, encouraging kids to draw inspiration from the mountains and the urban landscapes they see every day. 🏔️

Fun Fact: Did you know Denver has one of the most proactive street art scenes in the country? The city actually celebrates muralists through festivals like CRUSH WALLS, proving that street art is a vital part of our community's voice!
