Do I need to be artistic to enjoy a graffiti workshop?

Absolutely not! Our Houston onboarding workshops are designed for everyone, from people who can't draw a stick figure to seasoned doodlers. Our pro artists guide you through every step, starting with basic lines and shapes. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created. It's all about letting go of perfection and having a blast with the spray cans!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to become a street art pro for the day! This includes a wide variety of high-quality spray paint colors, protective gear like masks, gloves, and aprons, and the canvas or wall space for your art. You just need to show up in clothes you don't mind getting a little messy (just in case) and bring your creative energy!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We use high-quality, professional-grade spray paints and provide all participants with protective masks and gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas or outdoors. Our experienced instructors also give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the equipment properly and responsibly.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard onboarding workshops in Houston typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time for a cool introduction to graffiti history, a technique demonstration, and plenty of hands-on painting time. If you have a specific schedule or are planning a larger team-building event, we can always customize the duration to fit your needs perfectly.

Can we choose what we want to paint?

Whatever you like! While we often have a theme or a specific project (like a team logo or a tribute to Houston’s space heritage), you are free to experiment. Our instructors can help you sketch out names, characters, or abstract designs. We want you to leave feeling like you’ve expressed your own unique style on the canvas. the sky is the limit!

What happens if it rains on the day of my workshop?

Houston weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If we are planned for an outdoor session and the Bayou City decides to rain, we have backup indoor locations or can utilize covered areas. Plus, we have backup artists available, so your event will never be canceled due to a staff emergency. Your creative experience is guaranteed to happen rain or shine!

Local culture

Houston is a massive canvas, from the iconic murals in East End (EaDo) to the legendary graffiti walls of the First Ward. The city’s street art scene is heavily influenced by its diverse culture, hip-hop roots, and space exploration history. When you join our workshop, you aren't just splashing paint; you're joining a tradition that decorates the streets of the 713 with soul and swagger. ✨

Fun Fact: Houston is home to the "Be Someone" graffiti bridge over I-45, one of the most photographed and beloved unofficial landmarks in the city! 🎨

Whether we're inspired by the energy of the Heights or the urban grit of Downtown, our sessions capture that unique Houston vibe. After your workshop, you'll see the murals around Discovery Green and Minute Maid Park with a whole new perspective!
