What exactly is live painting and how does it work?

Live painting is a dynamic form of entertainment where our graffiti artists create a large-scale piece of art from scratch during your event in Addis Ababa. Unlike a pre-painted mural, your guests get to see the entire creative process unfold in real-time. It adds an energetic, urban vibe to any gathering and serves as a fantastic conversation starter while the colors come to life on the canvas or wall.

What kind of surfaces can you paint on during the event?

We are very flexible! We can paint on custom-built wooden walls, large canvas stretches, or even transparent plastic film if you want to maintain visibility in the venue. In Addis Ababa, we often use mobile surfaces that can be moved after the event. If you have a specific surface in mind, like a vehicle or a permanent wall, just let us know and we will make it happen.

How long does a live painting session usually take?

A standard live painting performance usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the design and your event schedule. We can speed things up for a short, high-impact brand reveal or slow it down to provide background entertainment throughout an entire evening gala. We always arrive early to set up and ensure everything is ready before your first guest walks in.

Is it safe to have spray painting indoors at a venue?

Safety is a big deal for us. We use low-odor, professional-grade spray paint whenever possible. For indoor events in Addis Ababa, we ensure proper ventilation and can use water-based cans that produce fewer fumes. We also bring floor protection to keep the venue spotless and can set up partitions to ensure guests stay at a safe but viewable distance while the artist is working.

Can you include our logo or a specific theme in the art?

Absolutely! That is one of the best parts. We can incorporate your company logo, event theme, or specific color palette into the artwork. Before the event, we will chat about your vision and create a rough sketch. Whether it is a corporate message or a birthday tribute, the final piece will be a unique reflection of your brand or celebration in the heart of Ethiopia.

Do I need to provide any materials for the artist?

No, you don't need to worry about a thing. Graffitifun brings everything required for the performance, including the paint, caps, protective floor coverings, and the artist's gear. If we are painting on a mobile wall, we can even arrange the construction of the surface. You just provide the space and the audience, and we take care of the creative heavy lifting.

How far in advance should I book for an event in Addis Ababa?

Booking is easy. Since every event in Addis is unique, we recommend reaching out at least a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. However, we have a large team of backup artists, so we can often handle last-minute requests. Just send us a message with your event details, and we will get back to you with a custom quote and design ideas.
