Do I need to have any artistic talent or experience to participate?

Absolutely not! Our Goroka onboarding workshop is designed specifically for beginners. Our professional street artists will guide you through every single step, from how to hold the spray can to advanced layering techniques. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can create something impressive under our guidance. It’s all about having a go and enjoying the creative process with your new teammates.

Is the graffiti workshop safe and what should we wear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paint and conduct our sessions in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared indoor spaces. Our artists also provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free environment for your team's onboarding experience.

How long does the workshop last?

A standard onboarding workshop in Goroka typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale team mural. We can adjust the timing to fit your specific induction schedule, whether you want a quick energy boost or a deep-dive creative afternoon.

What is the ideal group size for an onboarding session?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you are onboarding a small team of 5 or a massive intake of 50 new hires, we can accommodate you. For very large groups, we bring in additional professional artists from our backup pool to ensure everyone gets personal attention and guidance. We aim to keep the energy high and the engagement levels consistent regardless of the group size.

Do we need to pay in advance for the booking?

We believe in transparency and trust. You don't need to pay anything upfront when booking your Goroka workshop. We provide a clear quote based on your requirements, and payment is only settled after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience we've delivered to your team before any money changes hands.

Are all materials included in the workshop price?

Yes, Graffitifun provides everything! We bring the spray cans in a huge variety of vibrant colours, the canvases or mobile walls, all protective equipment, and professional caps for different line widths. You just need to show up with your team and plenty of enthusiasm. If you have a specific theme or company logo you want to incorporate, let us know beforehand!

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

Rain is rarely a problem for us! We always have a 'plan B' ready. If the weather in the Eastern Highlands doesn't cooperate, we can move the session to a covered outdoor area or an appropriately ventilated indoor space. Thanks to our network of backup artists and flexible logistics, we ensure your onboarding event goes ahead rain or shine.

Step by step

Welcome and intro: Meet your pro graffiti artist at your chosen Goroka location for an energetic introduction to the world of street art.
Safety briefing: We suit everyone up in protective gear and explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely and effectively.
The basics: Learn the essential techniques, from making thin lines and dots to filling in large areas and creating smooth transitions.
Sketching the vision: Your team brainstorms together to sketch out a design that represents your company values or team goals.
First sprays: Everyone gets their own space to practice their new skills and get a feel for the pressure of the cans.
Collaborative mural: Now for the big one! The team works together on a large-scale canvas to bring the collective design to life.
Adding the flare: Our artists show you how to add highlights, outlines, and 'force fields' to make your artwork pop.
Grand reveal and photos: Take a step back to admire your masterpiece! We’ll take professional-style group photos of you and your art.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Goroka is world-famous for its incredible Goroka Show and the vibrant culture of the Eastern Highlands, making it the perfect backdrop for a creative explosion! Just as the traditional Bilum patterns and tribal designs tell a story, our graffiti workshops allow your team to create their own modern visual narrative. Whether we're setting up near the bustle of the town market or in a quiet spot overlooking the stunning mountains, the local energy always finds its way into the art. 🎨

We love integrating the local spirit into our sessions, encouraging teams to blend modern street styles with the rich heritage found right here in PNG. It’s about more than just paint; it’s about connecting with the environment and each other.
