Our professional artists will guide you through everything from how to hold the can to advanced shading techniques. You will be amazed at what you can create in just a few hours. It’s all about having fun and expressing yourself in a supportive, creative environment.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to get started. This includes high-quality spray cans in a variety of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gloves, and masks. We also provide the canvas or surface you'll be painting on. Just bring your enthusiasm and wear some old clothes and comfortable sneakers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on!

Is the workshop safe?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks and gloves to all participants. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated areas to ensure everyone breathes easy. Our professional street artists will also give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring a fun and hazard-free experience for everyone involved in Nelspruit.

How long does the graffiti experience last?

Our standard onboarding workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have specific time constraints for your event in Mpumalanga, we can often tailor the duration to fit your schedule. Just let us know your requirements when booking.

Do I have to pay in advance?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require any upfront payment or deposits to secure your booking. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of planning and ensures you can book with total confidence for your Nelspruit group.

Can you accommodate large groups?

Absolutely! We love hosting groups of all sizes. Whether it's a small team-building session or a larger corporate onboarding event, we can accommodate you. For very large groups, we bring in extra backup artists to ensure everyone gets personal attention and guidance. Our goal is to make sure every single participant leaves feeling like a street art pro.

Where do the workshops take place?

While we have several preferred outdoor and indoor locations around Nelspruit that offer the perfect "street" vibe, we are also mobile! If you have a suitable venue with enough ventilation and space, our team can bring the entire graffiti workshop setup to you. From office parking lots to private gardens, we make the magic happen wherever you are.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next outing? It's more than just paint on a wall—it's a way to break barriers and discover new perspectives. Here’s why our onboarding workshops are a hit in Nelspruit:

Zero Ego, All Fun: You don't need to be an artist. Our pros handle the technical bits so you can focus on the fun. 🎤
Stress Buster: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the hiss of a spray can and the flow of bright colours.
Unique Team Building: Forget boring trust falls! Build real connections while collaborating on a massive mural. 🔥
Take Home Your Art: Most sessions allow you to keep your canvas, a permanent reminder of your "bad-ass" creative side.
Reliability Guaranteed: With backup artists on standby, we never cancel on you. Your event is safe with us! 💪

Step by step

Arrival and vibe check: Meet your pro graffiti artist at the venue and get settled in with the rest of the crew.
Introduction to the craft: Learn about the rich history of street art and the culture behind the cans.
Safety first: Suit up with your protective masks and gloves while we explain the dos and don'ts of spray painting.
Mastering the nozzles: Get a feel for the spray can. Practice different "caps" to create thin lines, fat strokes, and flares.
The 'Tag' phase: Use our online Tag Creator for inspiration and learn how to develop your own unique graffiti signature.
Sketching your piece: Outline your main design on the canvas, guided by our experts to get the proportions just right.
The fill-in: This is where the colour comes to life! Start filling in your piece with vibrant shades and gradients.
Outlining and details: Add those sharp outlines and "cut-backs" to make your artwork pop off the surface.
The big reveal: Step back, admire your handiwork, and snap some epic photos of your Nelspruit street art debut!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Nelspruit (Mbombela) is the heartbeat of Mpumalanga, and while it's famous for its lush greenery and proximity to the wild, its urban art scene is quietly booming. Our graffiti onboarding workshop in Nelspruit taps into that local energy, blending the wild spirit of the bush with the raw edge of the city. We love bringing the colour of the street to the "place where the sun rises." ✨

Fun Nelspruit Fact: Did you know that the name 'Mbombela' means 'many people together in a small space'? It’s the perfect philosophy for our workshops, where collaboration and shared creativity bring people closer together through art! 🇿🇦

While you're here, why not check out some of the local murals in the city centre or head over to our other locations like Johannesburg or Pretoria to see how the street art styles differ across Mzansi.
